I just tried to reinstate my motorcycle insurance. I cancelled it last year due to my bike needing repairs so I registered it non op.The person who I talked to named Amanda was curt and rude refusing to answer my questions and told me to go to the online site. I'm a senior citizen and don't see that well these days. My family and I insure our home and 3 vehicles with USAA. I'm guessing that doesn't matter giving the customer service I received. I guess USAA does not want me as a Valued customer. Valued as in a twenty years plus customer !read more

If possible I would give USAA zero stars. I've been a member for over 50 years and what was once a bank that provided professional,efficient customer service is no more. Speaking with customer service representatives who are unfailingly polite and extremely apologetic about not being able to provide the simplest service is the standard not exception with today's USAA. Regretfully I would not recommend USAA to anyone and will be taking steps to severe my relationship.read more

I have been a Member for 28 years. My Father has been a Member for over 50. I'm disgusted at what this company has evolved into.I had my first claim in 10 years and it was a complete nightmare. I was laughed at and told I don't understand the process. I'll be calling State Farm in the morning for a real Agent that won't laugh at me. Good Luck USAA. I'm leaving with nearly $1,500,000 in assets with your company. Including, Bank Accounts, Mortgage, Insurance, and Vehicle Loans. Keep Laughing.read more

Absolutely ZERO stars - the worst
I had been a member with USAA for over 30 years.There was a time when it was ran by military and it was for the military and their families. Since they've included everyone outside of the military it has shot downhill.
USAA is the worst in all areas, not just car insurance. And their employees, the majority are rude. They must hate their jobs.
I had a clean auto record for years. Then by no fault of my own, I did my best to avoid debris in the road so I would not kill another driver or worse myself by driving off the road. I slowed down and I thought I was safe. It tore a good chunk of my driver side fender off. The auto body shop was not professional at all. Only cared about sales and numbers. Not your typical body shop. The sales person ran my estimate up so darn high and scared me so I would not drive it to another body shop. Yet, this body shop was approved by USAA.
Well...guess what...USAA tripled my insurance rate after that. So...after many discussions and shear anger for how they do not hold themselves accountable at all, I dropped both auto and homeowners. I will cut the rest as soon at I can.
USAA is the absolute worst. Don't let all the fake so called ratings fool you. They are subpar and they is an understatement.read more
