I know that a lot of people are switching from Spectrum to different providers. Be careful when you cancel with them.We found out today that the policy on how they charge their customers changed. So even though we cancel at the beginning of a billing cycle, they will charge us for the entire month. On top of this, they will force you to pay $5 payment charge since the account is already closed and you can't do automated payment. Needless to say, you will be paying them the entire month without any service delivered from their part. Their prices went up, the quality of the service including CS is beyond pour, and now they are trying to rip people off this way. No quality, horrible CS, they are just money grubbers. Every other provider is better than them.read more

TIME WARNER/SPECTRUM
THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE TO DEAL WITH. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT MONEY GRUBBERS,AS THEIR PRICES GO UP AND UP, THEIR SERVICE GETS WORSE AND WORSE! THEIR ADVERTISED SPEEDS ARE A JOKE. THE TV IS SPORADIC.
HOWEVER THEIR SERVICE IS AT ROCK BOTTOM. THE HOLD TIMES ARE FOREVER! THEY DISCONNECT YOU OVER AND OVER.
MY LATEST ORDEAL WAS TRYING TO GET THEM TO CANCEL THE TV PORTION OF MY BILL. I TRIED FOR DAYS TO REACH ONE OF REPS .I FINALLY GOT THEM TO CALL ME BACK. I SPOKE TO THE REP AND EXPLAINED THAT I WANTED TO CANCEL THE TV PORTION OF MY BILL, WHICH HE SAID HE WOULD DO. I ASKED HOW IT WOULD AFFECT MY BILL. HE TOLD ME IT WOULD GO FROM $212.11 TO $84.99. GREAT I ANSWERED, HOWEVER HE PUT ME ON HOLD AND DID NOT RETURN TO FINISH. I WAITED AND WAITED TO NO AVAIL AND FINALLY REALIZED I WAS BACK TO SQUARE ONE AND HAD TO START OVER AGAIN! AT THIS POINT I QUIT!
I WOULD LOVE TO GET RID OF THEM COMPLETELY, HOWEVER THERE ARE NO OTHER PROVIDERS IN MY AREA . I DON'T KNOW THE FCC LETS THEM GET AWAY WITH THE HORRIBLE WAY THEY TREAT THE CUSTOMERS. THEY ARE THE WORSE OR THE WORSE! STAY AWAY FROM THEM IF YOU CAN!

Spectrum/ TWC has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! Not only have there been several screw-ups and unexplained price increases but they also lie to you about your services,skewing your expectations. You’re told you’re in a set price that has plateaued because you’ve exceeded the set rate , yet more price increases impact my bill. I’ve been a customer for almost a decade and as soon as I think I’ve crossed the bridge of no further disappointment, I’m fooled again! I was told I was locked in and my bill would no longer increase and I’ve still seen two more increases to my bill. Im just so frustrated!read more
10 YEARS of Internet Issues Still Unresolved

I'm writing here because I have no where else to go to vent my frustrations with this company,and "frustrations" is an understatement. Over the last 10 years, TWC, now Spectrum, has given us nothing but issues. Our internet goes out whenever it is windy, rainy, cold, or humid outside. Basically, whenever the weather isn't 100% perfect. We have had over 30+ technicians come to our house over the last 10 years and none of them can figure out what the issue is... then they just leave. I've finally had it with this company. The internet will go out for 2 seconds or 2 hours, 15 seconds or 15 minutes, 30 seconds or 30 hours ALL. DAY. LONG. Last week both our cable and internet went out. We were told by the technician that all of our equipment is fine. The fault lies with the tap/poll/box up in the woods and the line leading to it. He said it's on Spectrum's end. So he put in a number for a maintenance worker to come out and fix the weak signal. Person walked right past the box, didn't fix jack. Then they were supposed to come and bury the new cable we got. Two weeks later... it's still not buried. So we called for another tech to come out because when I was on the phone with Spectrum, they said the signal is still super sketchy and weak. Technician comes out, and I have NEVER experienced this level of unprofessionalism in all my life. The guy doesn't say a word to us, goes to check the tap in the back, sits in his truck for the next HOUR playing games on his phone and eating a sandwich in our driveway, and then he leaves without a word to us. WHAT THE ACTUAL $%*&?!?!?!?!?! Then he put in the comments that there was no issue to resolve!!!! I can't believe the audacity of this company or the people that they hire to sit around and not do anything! Meanwhile this guy still gets paid, still has a job, and my internet is still going on and off every few seconds. I had to call again last night and get the situation "elevated." A new tech is supposed to come today, but it will just be more of the same garbage. He will tell us the fault lies with the tap, schedule a maintenance person to come and fix it and because these people are contractors, they won't come and talk to us at all so the problem will continue to persist. Our bill keeps getting higher but our internet keeps getting worse. Would Spectrum be okay if we only paid 1/8th of our bill? Because that's all the internet we are getting.
Try being a graduate student and trying to take an online exam or quiz when the internet goes out every time you click on an answer. Then try explaining to the professor why you couldn't get your exam done in the allotted time, only to have them think you're just cheating! This company has caused me so much grief, I only wish I could take them to court!read more
