Buy NOTHING online. Poor shipping response. Impossible tracking. If it’s not available to buy and walk out don’t buy it.Received tracking details, package sitting to be picked up for shipping over a week and half! No contact availability. Many complaints of this same nature. Toss the sale mailings in the trash if you don’t have a store next door. Pay a little more someplace else and actually get your stuff.

After months of research I decided on a North Star pressure washer. I was undecided on three models they carried but after much help from the store employee I made my decision.He loaded it up on a two wheeler brought it to the register where I paid. And then he brought it out to my truck and helped me get it into my truck. The assembly was easy as pie. And it runs like a top. I did read the reviews on all three of the models and they all have negative ones but not a lot. I realized during the assembly that a lot of the negative comments we’re probably because of poor assembly by the buyer. This product is amazing and has surpassed my expectations. I give Northern tool and North Star two thumbs up very high. Thanks for a good buying experience and kudos to the staff at the Blaine Minnesota store

Had to have a verbal altercation to get a refund

The quick version: I had to go in here and have a verbal altercation with THREE employees to get a refund for an item that wasn't even in the store.
The full beans: Three weeks ago from this writing,Northern Tool had a special on shelving, a 48 inch wide 5 shelf 'heavy duty' type. I went in to this store, looked around, didn't find one. I inquired with the customer service person and they had to special order it, blatantly repeating it would be 5-10 business days. That's fine I said, and proceeded to wait 2 full weeks.
The first sign of trouble was on April 19th when I went in to see where these shelves were. No one called, emailed or texted--which they didn't have any reason to as they made me pre-pay for the shelves; so as long as I didn't ask, they wouldn't call to let me know they were getting free money. When I went in thinking I've waited long enough, NOPE, they were supposedly still on a truck in Arlington, Texas (a city 45 minutes from where I was currently). Okay, couple more days.
I went back in today, the 30th of April 2021--a full week later--and lo and behold, the shelves were still supposedly on this magical truck, only this time, they had been transported to Arlington VIRGINIA, and it would be another 7-14 days until they were in the store. Excuse me?
"You were misunderstanding where Arlington was," I was informed.
At this point I was pretty pissed that everytime I came in here looking for these PREPAID shelves, they were another week to two weeks away and had allegedly been shipped everywhere in the country except to THIS STORE.
I calmly asked for a refund and was flat out denied.
"You can't have one, the items need to be in the store to get a refund," I was told.
"What?! You sold them to me without being in the store, what's the problem?!"
At this point I had gone off-script for what the employee was trained to spout off when questioned, and she got quite nasty, muttering among other things "f*@k this guy" presumably to herself but loud enough for me to hear. At this, my blood was boiling and I got nasty back, demanding a refund and I wasn't leaving without one.
By now there were three employees jumping in like this was an unfair fight for them, and a customer behind me jumped in too, telling me to "stop being a dick" even though he had no knowledge of the situation and then invited me outside presumably for fisticuffs. I advised him I'm coming out swinging and he better be ready. Sure hope he never needs to get a refund at this store.
Eventually the manager took notice that this wasn't going to end well and finally gave in, issuing me the simple refund that was all I was asking for in the first place.
I took my money and went to a nearby Lowe's (if y'all are local, this is the one out by Carswell base) and dropped that and a bit more for Mother's Day projecting gifts; coincidentally I had one of the best experiences there today and will be calling that employee's manager for a glowing review on how far they went the extra mile to help me out. A polar opposite indeed.
Needless to say, I will NEVER spend another red cent at Northern Tool for the rest of my days. HF has better deals and lower everyday prices for the same Chinesium anyway.

Called about a part and Tim in the keys department said it was in stock. When I showed up Tim said thepart wasn’t in stock and that he didn’t talk to anyone in the phone and say it was there and that no one in the parts dept talked to me. I had called 30 mins before i went up there. The cashier that answered the phone and transferred me to Tim remembered talking to me but Tim continued to deny it and called me a liar. This was the Marietta store on Cobb Pkwy. Total waste of time and incompetent epmployeez
