Niantic customer service needs improvement

Reviewed on 2021-05-18T02:16:11

Niantic make various gps based games, which can be fun when enjoyed for what they are; casual gatcha games which can be played for free. But their strategy seems to be to be extremely grasping and try to exploit addicted players financially, rather than attempt to fix or even acknowledge bugs and provide fun new content and worthwhile gameplay. It's a shame, as it would be easy to improve their games and would probably make them money in the long run. The customer service team is an absolute joke. I don't know whether it's supposed to be real people in the chat box or just badly made AI responses... but they don't behave like a legitimate customer service agent. Copypasta responses are all they do, and they constantly close your 'ticket' prematurely. They keep refusing to acknowledge problems such as bugs and go in for mild gaslighting such as insisting it must be a user error instead of a bug.

Pure rubbish.

Sh!t developer, rigged Go Battle League to make sure you lose. Everything else in the game is meantto milk every single cents of its player base. Their so-called “events” are full of errors and bugs, and they just compensate later with make-up events. No need to expect too much from them. It’s actually amazing how one company can be so good and being so bad.

Niantic is destroying Pokémon Go

Reviewed on 2021-04-13T22:44:01

Niantic is destroying one of the greatest game ideas ever by beeing greedy, forcing FOMO to bind users and building up more and more paywalls for specific Pokémon. Also the idea of short and lot events is forcing FOMO more and more. I love the game, but I stopped playing it because of this bad pusblisher. And at least the customer support isn't worth the word "customer"...

Sanction cheaters!

Reviewed on 2021-03-24T00:15:43

I put more money into Pokémon Go than I can count. The game has helped a lot with my social phobia,it used to be so bad I would not even leave the house. Pokémon Go gives me something to focus on, to do, to motivate me to go outside. The community is very friendly and I have met many people that way. I am grateful to Niantic in many ways and I am a daily player. With that being said, you cannot dismiss what other players here have said a.) they do nothing about cheaters. I have reported spoofers or people with 6+ accounts several times and nothing was done. I feel like the rules should apply to everyone the same. Maybe add more stops to prevent people living in the middle of nowhere cheating. Or make a unique code in your software so you recognise immediately when someone spoofs b.) the game can crash/glitch and cause you to lose raid passes. I also have to be fair and say they are fairly good at fixing bugs, better than most software companies. There is also a fair amount of events and it never gets boring. Pokémon Go has made me happier. Maybe I am too old for the game, but I don‘t care. I would recommend it to anyone.

Imagine giving all the details you can remember and it being "not enough"

Reviewed on 2021-03-09T00:16:32

Tried to recover my account from 2+ years ago because of losing access to my email.Proceeded to get asked extremely specific questions and was told "it wasn't enough" even though I gave them my friendlist, some pokemon and their nicknames, all the devices that the account had been on. I don't know how they expect people to remember if they haven't played their game in over 2 years????
