Cash grab.

Reviewed on 2021-04-28T23:27:48

Cash grab.. the doctor I spoke with, Patrick Kavanagh, has horrible manners and gives you 30 seconds before he's done with you .If this is considered "care" by any standards I have no hope for this place. He rushed the call, had me on speaker phone clearly violating my HIPAA privacy as I could hear other people who were patients in the background who could easily hear me. I could barely understand him as he sounded like he was a mile away due to using speakerphone. I called back immediately as I needed a note saying I had a sinus infection (diagnosis) for work so they knew I saw a doctor and they wanted a note clearing me to return or stating how long I should stay home. I work in dental care we need this to make sure our patients don't get sick from me. I was told by LiveHealth this would not be a problem and that I would receive an email with that in an hour. They emailed me the next day saying it would be a bit longer. Then today I emailed asking for it and they said no I would not get this information and if I wanted this note I would need to see a doctor again which would be...bingo you guessed it..another $60!! I will never use this service and I am currently sitting at my local urgent care sicker than I was Monday and misdiagnosed due to the docs lack of spending anytime with me. I can't believe this is how they do things, as what I was asking for is very easy to provide...cash grab service for sure!

Bad experience

Reviewed on 2021-04-20T11:03:27

Bad experience. I saw a psychiatrist, he got disconnected with 10 mins left of our hour long appointment & never called back.Messaging with him, he informed me that none of my visit info had saved and we would have to do another whole initial appointment (I hate talking about my past so was not happy to explain it all over again). He rescheduled my appointment. I was then told when talking to customer service that they are unable to prescribe controlled medications- my primary dr had tried everything a normal dr could prescribe and said to see a psychiatrist for proper anxiety medications. So there was nothing the LiveHealth dr could even do that my primary care physician couldn’t. I just cancelled the rescheduled appointment realizing they would be no help to me but was told I may get charged a $40 fee because of canceling and that refunds take up to 30 days ( still waiting on my $185 from my disappointing & useless first visit). Not worth it. Just see a well rated psychiatrist in person!

BEWARE: poor service and flawed website platform!

Reviewed on 2021-04-20T01:00:50

I have sought out a therapy session twice now from LiveHealth Online. The first time was in January, and there were no available appointments for 3.5 months. I booked the appointment regardless of the wait. I showed up 15 minutes early, filled out their questionnaire and waited 15 minutes after the appointment start time. I was increasingly anxious during this window, only to receive a message that the therapist declined my visit. WOW. I did not even know this was legal...Is it? The message gave a link for further explanation that led me back to the homepage with NO explanation. I spoke to a representative on the phone to discuss and he informed me that they had no record of an appointment scheduled. The second visit today was worse. The therapist showed up to the appointment, but my video was not working. While trying to fix this issue, I clicked on a box saying "Having trouble with video?" thinking it would give technical instructions for restoring this connection. Instead, it immediately ended the therapy session and sent an automated phone call to my phone that was subsequently denied by the therapist. Even worse, there was no link to restore our session and it simply said the visit had already occurred. I sent a message to Dr. Black, who asked me to reinitiate the session via my calendar. I found this page not 1 minute later when I was notified the doctor CANCELLED our appointment. What happened??? Her explanation was that she cancelled it so that I was not charged for the appointment, but this was WHILE I was actively trying to reconnect with her. This is unacceptable, terrible service and a flawed platform. Both occasions were very stressful, frustrating and unthinkable for mental health services. DO NOT rely on this service. You will most likely have a similar experience.

LiveHealth Online is a big scam.

Reviewed on 2021-04-16T15:39:22

LiveHealth Online is the only company that Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield is working with for 100% coverage for telehealth visits. But there is a glitch with LiveHealth online. It makes you pay out of pocket when it is not supposed to. You have to pay before you can even start your visit. They can look at your account and confirm you are not supposed to be charged but will not refund you unless you call Anthem and have a representative call. Then you have to call LiveHealth Online back to confirm and then a refund will be issues. Sometimes you have to call multiple times and wait almost a month to get paid back. LiveHealth Online is awful. Use another company if you can.

This company is a scam. The call lasted 2 minutes and then ended. No way to call back.I was charged 175$ for 2 minutes where the man claiming to be a psychiatrist said he couldn’t prescribe in an online environment then hung up on me.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME- TRASH!!!!!!!

I scheduled an appointment to meet a provider 3 weeks ago. Today I login 15 mins before the appointment and I find that I am unable to join. The error stated "this meeting has already occurred". I called support and they basically told me I have to reschedule and there is nothing they can do for me. I waited three weeks for this appointment but now I cannot access the meeting due to LiveHealth policy/ways they conduct business. I needed this meeting.

Can't keep a doctor longer than 2…

Reviewed on 2021-03-29T19:17:54

Can't keep a doctor longer than 2 appointments it seems with Livehealth. Doctors are constantly changing their schedules that dont fit with yours. They're not licensed in every state, so if you move to a new state- you can no longer see that same doctor. Even if you have been seeing a doctor in your state for 2 appointments already, they claim they're not licensed anymore and cant set up another appointment - lying or app issues? It's hard to keep in touch with your doctor if you have any issues, taking them 24 hours or days to respond back to you even for important concerns. There needs to be a texting option for those that cannot sit on a video chat or phone call because their children are at home because of the school closures and patients cant just leave their children unattended for a 20 minute appointment. There are times where you check the calendar and there are no doctors, then other times they are only scheduling a month out. Need more providers on here. Need better communications available for patients and doctors. Another thing is, in these times where virtual appointments are safer, they need to be allowed to prescribe controlled substances that are needed for a patient over telehealth. Its medication, you're a licensed doctor, something needs to be done about that to allow for prescribing those medication to people that need it to live. I have probably seen at least 8 different doctors on telehealth in the past year because of all the issues with this service. (In response to the response I recieved- its 2021, time to make some changes. If we are going to be more dependent on telehealth then telehealth should be able to do as a normal doctor in-person can, thanks. Dont need reason why ya'll cant, but I am giving a reason why things need to change and there should be exceptions especially during these trying times. Or at least be able to refill a prescription that was prescribed in person that's a controlled substance. Controlled substance I speak of here is for ADHD, I basically have to go without my meds because I dont have the ability to get to in person dr and your providers cant just refill.) Also these issues have been ongoing since BEFORE THE PANDEMIC. So, go ahead with excuses. Easy excuse to throw out right now.
