I ordered the Take Back bag 5 weeks ago…

Reviewed on 2021-10-11T22:53:45

I ordered the Take Back bag 5 weeks ago and haven't received it, and the shipping status hasn't changed for 4 weeks.I understand there's a lot of shipping delays knowadays, but if I knew it would take this long, I would've just recycled clothes somewhere else. Hopefully I didn't waste money on the purchase.

Really Wanted to Love Them

Reviewed on 2021-09-18T17:39:40

To start out, I really wanted to love this brand and was excited to try them out. My first order from them was a set of 10 masks, and every single one fell apart within a few months. That probably should have been a sign to me about their general quality standards, but I looked past it as it wasn’t their normal product offering. Come this year, my husband and I both needed new t-shirts, so I ordered all new t-shirts and sweatpants for us from them, totaling almost $600. We had so many issues with them that I am probably going to forget to list some, but here it goes: 1. One shirt was missing from our order. 2. Sizing is EXTREMELY inconsistent. We both ordered multiple colors in the same style & size, and it was comical how much they varied. One would be a bit loose, while another would be so tiny that I couldn’t get it on. 3. When I returned one top for sizing, they then sent the incorrect size. 4. Two shirts came with holes in the underarms. 5. Several shirts shrank after washing. We wash all clothes on cold and air dry. At least one of my husband’s shirts shrank enough that he couldn’t wear it anymore. 6. The fabric felt very nice when we received everything, but it has not held up over time. After less than 5 months of wearing them, most of the clothing has holes (mostly along where the tag is attached). 7. DON’T BUY THEIR SWEATPANTS. The sweatpants are a nightmare - mine got a hole near the pocket within about a week, and they all shed like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Every time we wash them, at least a cottonball worth of fabric falls out of each pair. They were a nice heavyweight when we received them, and are now thin and even a bit see through in certain areas. We find fuzz from them everywhere. We feel like we were scammed by this company’s promise of a “closed-loop” clothing system, but it’s now obvious that they make their clothing basically disposable so that you have to buy new clothes way more often than before. We have several $5 H&M t-shirts that have held up a million times better than this company’s. Suffice to say, I will not be giving this company another dollar.

Bad from beginning to end

Reviewed on 2021-06-29T15:24:30

I originally ordered the L takeback bag. I thought the concept of recycling old clothes and getting credit for something new was cool. The $20 credit was never applied to my account and I had to reach out to customer service for this to happen. Once I actually placed an order it went out in different shipments, which happens sometimes but I wouldn't really think would be the case with a company that has limited options. When the first part of my order arrived I received a woman's romper...and I ordered a men's t-shirt. After reaching out to customer service again, they informed me that the shirt I selected was out of stock. The tag on the item literally states "Endless t-shirts. Zero waste." Pretty ironic seeing as how they both ran out of t-shirts and are creating waste by having to ship incorrect items back to them.

bad experience all around -- buy ethically elsewhere

Reviewed on 2021-05-27T12:29:47

My parcel never showed up — it was lost for an entire month and finally I had to reach out to find out what happened.Additionally, I did a Take Back Bag... and have never heard another thing about it. It's been over a month. Who knows where all those clothes went! Also, the clothing I received was HORRIBLE quality and their exchange/return system is absolutely ridiculous and impossible to navigate.

I heart tees

I love their whole idea, but

Reviewed on 2021-04-07T02:40:46

I love their whole idea. That and the fact that I love the everyday tee is why they get 3 stars.Otherwise, I’d give them 2. Their customer service is abominable. I tried to return/ exchange a couple tops ( because their sizing is all off, as everyone else says) and the process took an unreasonably long time. I spent a lot of time chatting with them over it. I don’t care if they are understaffed, hire more people. Bad customer service is just unacceptable these days. They can’t keep anything in stock, either, which is frustrating. How is the trade/ exchange process supposed to work if you can’t replace your old tee or other article? Last of all, they keep changing how they do the trades. It’s confusing and I feel like they are offering less and less for the trades each time. I’m going to hang on to my favorite tees, maybe buy a couple more when they are in stock, and not try to do the swaps. I’m also going to try out the tees from The Classic T Shirt Company. They just do tees and seem to have their act together. :)

New site revamp ok; Size up for clothing!

Reviewed on 2021-03-23T16:21:59

Agree with most comments here; the sizing for their clothes is kinda off. For reference I'm 4'11 100lbs usually wear XS or XXS depending on brand.I ordered the rib polo (size S) & rib pants (XS) as a set; the polo was ok it's def a snug fit even for me and the pants were WAY too long (I should've read the inseam) so returned that. CS gave me a response within 24 hr with a printable return label. Ordered a Light LS (Medium) for my 6'3 bf and it was SO SHORT LOL. Looked like he was wearing a kids long sleeve with the short sleeves. Overall I think they should provide better sizing description for the clothes as it's hard to tell with the model photos... The white Light L/S looks baggy in the model photo but the green was def not baggy at all! Their new website revamp is nice, but could still use some work. My orders don't load correctly on the "My Closet" section under Account, as only every other product seems to be loaded vs. all. My returns don't show in the "Transactions" section either. I like the company/cause and products, just wish the sizing was consistent and the shopping experience a little more seamless.
