03/05/2021 No action taken to ensure due reimbursement. They still owe me their service fee 91,20 euros and they are doing nothing to insure I get my money back.I am extremely disappointed by their service. update 04/05: After writing this comment and calling again today, the customer service initiated the reimbursment during our phone call. Looks like writing this evaluation was the only way to make things moove after 2 weeks, a lot of time spent on the phone and too many email exchange. The answer from abritel to this evaluation is wrong the reimbusment was not initiated yesterday, Only today after I called.

BEWARE OF SCAMS on the Abritel Site !

BEWARE OF SCAMS on this website ! We booked a chalet...that never existed ! Somehow someone hacked thewebsite and put a page with a chalet in Morzine when we thought we were still on the Abritel page. We communicated with the owner, who told us it was available, and told us Abritel was going to send a bill for payment. The email that arrived looked very much like an Abritel reservation email, and we went along and paid. It is when we decided to cancel the booking a month before that we realized that we had paid an IBAN in Spain that was not Abritel, for a chalet they never had, with a reservation number that was bogus ! I filed a complain on the Abritel chat (after all, it was their website that was hacked !)...they gave me a file number (#29567912)...and then never heard of them ever again ! Wow. Talk about customer service...and an experience. Will never go through them again, that is for sure...and will tell all my friends to stay away.

Update on Abritel service

I think it might be helpful to bring the following observations to recent discussions regarding financial concerns at Abritel. We have been renting out home vis this site for over 8 years.Last year the company took over all payments. We received our rental fees within 3 days of each holiday maker entering the property. This year we were advised by Abritel that they were experiencing some payment difficulties (in July). Our first rental in that month was paid in full within 9 days instead of the normal maximum of 7 days. This month's rental was settled within 3 days. We therefore have no complaints at all. It remains to be seen if the damage deposits and the one cancellation will be repaid without delay. Abritel have provided us with an efficient platform to rent our home and we are happy to confirm our satisfaction with the service they offer. SEPTEMBER UPDATE : We have to report a similar occurance regarding repayment of our last locatire's caution of 1500€ (a not inconsiderable sum). The family left our property on the 22/8 and we finalised the state of the property (nothing to report) and instructed Abritel to repay the caution immediatel on the 5/9. The locataire and ourselves received confirmation on 6/9 that the repayment had been authorised. The funds were finally received by the client on the 21/9 - one month after departure. What is most disturbing is the lack of any response from Abritel's team. Mails sent to Homeaway in the States were never answered. The real problem is therefore lack of accessability. This needs addressing if we are to remain clients of Abritel. Reading the posts on Trustpilot is most disturbing.

Stay away from Abritel, I think there is a big chance they will go bankrupt !!!! We have no paymentand no good explanation and communication lines are cut !!

Abritel/HoweAway - Defaulting on payments - Near Bankruptcy? We are owners of a house in France and are using HomeAway to rent our property.For several weeks now HomeAway and Abritel have stopped paying us the rental income. Guests have come and stayed and have paid the booking platform but HomeAway has not been releasing the money to us. We understand several owners are in the same situation. It looks like the company is running out of cash and are using owners' money to pay their own expenses. We have no choice but to go ahead and cancel all future bookings with them.

I made a booking in France via Homeaway, and only got less than 50% of the deposit back.Apparently the homeowner doesn't get paid until after the holiday, and their agent is Abritel, not Homeaway. So it is Abritel itself that is keeping the deposits! Is this lawful?

They've lost the plot since Covid started. We booked with Abritel before and it went fine but our booking for this year has been a disaster.We're stuck between Abritel and the home owner and can't get a refund of the deposit we paid.
