ZDIC.net (汉典) is an educational and informational website that contains rich helpful content to a very wide audience. ZDIC was built in 2004, it's a free online Chinese dictionary contains a great volume of Chinese characters, words, phrases, idioms and other Chinese languages forms. The goal of ZDIC is to introduce Chinese culture, history and language, to serve, help and benifit those who are interested in learning, studying Chinese, to discuss the norm and standard in using Chinese.

ZDIC Classic Literature Works has collected 1,055 ancient classic literature books and 203 articles, which contains 38,529 chapters in total. ZDIC classic Poetry has recored 268,886 poems and works, ZDIC Calligraphy has collected 135,804 Characters of famous Chinese calligraphy works and pieces.
Thanks to many Chinese volunteer contributors around the world and their selfless big hearts, all these works had been done under GNU Free Documentation License through the past years, and all these works are being done at the present times. Till now, all the ZDIC websites are running by personal expenses, and are being maintained, managed by the volunteer contributors.
