Terrible product, shipping & customer service

Ordered five ScentPlugs after chatting with Yankee's rep. She told me which ones would be lighter scents,not so heavy. Received email stating they had shipped. Tracking number was bogus. Contacted them FOUR times trying to get a correct tracking number but only got put off. My ScentPlugs finally arrived in a HUGE box with tons of paper filler. Ridiculous and wasteful. Two of the items were leaking all over inside the additional bubble wrap -- the tops had not been tightened. Only 2 of the 5 were lightly scented. The other 3 smelled strong and nothing like their name descriptions. The Coconut Beach smelled like burned coconut cookies. The Pineapple was not recognizable. What lousy products, lousy shipping department and appalling customer service. Will never order from them again and advise others not to waste their money. To top things off, they won't let me leave any reviews on my verified purchases. So what does THAT tell you about the esteemed Yankee Candle Company?read more

The scents are great, and customer service for trivial issues has been fine. But I've just had the worst customer service EVER.A large order was quadrupled due to a glitch at checkout. I noticed them as soon as I saw what had happened, and was instructed to return the items I didn't want. The order was received by the warehouse on March 3. It is now April 6 and I have yet to see a refund. I have contacted customer service multiple times and I keep getting promises, but no refund. I can't even get connected to a supervisor by a customer service agent. So now I'm leaving negative reviews in hopes that gets their attention.read more

Yankee candle has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. God help you if you ever have a problem.You will spend hours of your time waiting on hold to speak with someone clearly not US based reading from a script. This used to be such a good company and I am so disappointed.read more

I am very disappointed in the candles I have purchased recently. I have enjoyed Yankee candles for many years.My recent purchases have been a disappointment. The scent from the candles is very weak- discernible only if standing right next to the candle. Their scent used to fill the house and one could smell the wonderful fragrance upon entering. I will find another company for candles.read more

I placed an order with them in January. I ordered 5 candles. The order was submitted and the funds were taken from my account.A few minutes later I received an email from Yankee Candle stating 4 of the 5 candles were out of stock. I called them immediately, to be told they cannot stop the order from being processed! So I was charged £2.45 to have ONE candle delivered.
Since then, I have received continuous emails from Yankee Candle asking me to review my purchase. Eventually I did just that last night, writing of my genuine experience with Yankee Candle. Today I am notified by Yankee Candle that my review has been moderated as it 'did not meet all our website guidelines'! Lost for words! I provided a review of my poor experience and Yankee Candle refuse to publish it. Perhaps you should take a serious look at your company ethics here, just look at all the complaints.
