My first order was ok The second one was horrible My order was schedule to arrive on Monday I madecontact with the merchant since they did not inform me about any delay They told me that due to a porto wine not in stock they were unable to deliver the rest of the 35 bottles of wine Hard to believe since this porto wine is available in small local stores and the ould ship the whole order on Monday 5/10 I agreed to wait up to 5/13 The order finally shipped and I got 24 wines out of 35 No communication from the merchant at all They made up an excuse blaming Fedex I realized that the rest of the shipment was sent to Fedex on Friday 5/14 at around 6 PM The blame again Fedex about their unprofessional behavior I ended up requesting to cancel the remaining order and to get a refund I also promised to never place an order with them I'm waiting for my refund They do not care about your needs they do not have items in stock

Bad Service That They Choose To Avoid Fixing

I used to be a huge fan of wine.com and was a steward member (for free shipping) for years.In the last couple of years, their customer service has declined terribly! They promote shipping/delivery dates that they very rarely (if ever) meet, they regularly have processing delays with zero communication to customers, and their prices and availability are no longer as competitive as say a Total Wine or BevMo. They could fix these issues if they simply stopped promising things they cannot do and paid attention to late orders to reach out proactively to their clients to see what the client wants to do (i.e. wait a month because just 1 bottle in the order is delayed or substitute now?). It blows my mind how terrible and yet fixable their problems are. I have a reminder in my calendar to cancel my membership before it renews (since I won't get a credit if I cancel now). It's a shame because I used to love them.

There was a time that I loved the idea of wine.com. I mean really, an app that you could buy wine and have it sent to your house with no shipping fee (except for the small membership fee). Then, about 2 years ago they started having shipping problems and order mixups and excuses. I have spent a lot of money on wine with them and the lack of respect is astounding. Whenever they make a mistake and I talk to them about it they make you feel like you are an inconvenience. The way I was brought up if you make a mistake you own it and try to make the customer happy. I will no longer use their services . It's too bad they use to be good now they are marginal at best.

After a few orders I can honestly say wine.com is more miss than hit. There is something really messed up about the shipping,for sure. Charges are immediate, promises are made for delivery dates that are rarely met. Seeing today's date for several days gives no assurance when it will arrive and carriers give no way to get a real status update. My current experience tips the balance to never again. Avoid if you are trying to get wine within a reasonable time, see what kind of deals you can make with your local retailers.

I will not order from this company again. They did not send the wine that was expected,but instead sent a cheaper, lower rated "comparable" wine. This was going to be a thank you gift (thank goodness I had it sent to me first!!) This is embarrassing to give as a gift, so I will not even be giving it to the intended recipients. I will be keeping it myself because I don't want to deal with the apparent horrible customer service I just read about. I wish I would've checked reviews first - I regret that I didn't. Total waste of money.

Abysmal Gift Card System

My gripes with this merchant revolve around their horrid gift card system. On multiple occasions,e-gift cards purchased from them have been frozen and/or canceled, and typically, there is no notification of this for the customer. As a result, you only figure it out when you try to use a gift card.
Dealing with the support people takes forever, as they are typically super confused about their own gift card system. God forbid you actually send one of these gift cards to someone else.
To Wine.com: Either fix your disaster of a gift card system, or just stop selling them altogether.

Ordered wine on January 7 and credit card was charged on that date. As of April 7 I still do not have the wine.The reviews about customer service are sadly true. There is no system in place at Wine.com for recovery once an error is made. It's understandable that things go wrong but the customer service department is either not empowered or untrained to fix a mistake. It took an ungodly amount of my time to resolve this issue and I wouldn't reccomend the company--too many capable and competitive wine sources out there to put up with this nonsense.
