Toshiba do not stand by their own manufacturing defects in their products. Their TV's are complete rubbish!The EPG takes nearly 5 minutes to boot up to display programs and schedules. The remote control output is not received and actioned by the TV for nearly 5 seconds after pressing the buttons on the remote. Clearly these and firmware issues that Toshiba will not take ownership for and want to charge for call out and repair!
Save your money and buy a Sony, LG or Samsung instead. At least they work and are much better quality. Plus they understand customer service if their products have a problem!
Poor show Toshiba, hence why so many customer are complaining about your company and products!read more

I bought a Toshiba Fire TV in July of 2019 from BestBuy via Amazon. It worked great at first.I did not use very much but I loved the apps. I barely watch TV in my bedroom but one day (In October 2019) I wanted to listen to music. The TV would not connect to the amazon cloud service. I tried everything and nothing worked. I called the support line and they tried a few things to have me to reset the remote. They did not work. I was then told to contact Best Buy’s Geek Squad. I was given a service appointment 2 weeks later. So to save time I will summarize my service experience below from October 2019 thru June 2020.
Service Tech 1 – Technician looked at TV, Ordered several parts (Bluetooth piece and main board). I had to wait 2 weeks to get another apt and he came back to install. TV worked that day, then did the same thing again.
Service Tech 2 (same gentle from 1st service apt)- Confirmed TV was still not working. Ordered same parts again. I had to wait 2 weeks to get another apt and he came back to install. TV worked that day, then did the same thing again.
Service Tech 3 - Confirmed TV was still not working. Ordered same parts again. I had to wait 2 weeks to get another apt and he came back to install. TV worked that day, then did the same thing again.
Service Tech 4 - Confirmed TV was still not working. Ordered same parts again. I had to wait 2 weeks to get another apt and he came back to install. TV worked that day, then did the same thing again.
Service Tech 5 - Confirmed TV was still not working. Ordered same parts again. I had to wait 2 weeks to get another apt and he came back to install. TV worked that day, then did the same thing again.

Service Tech 7 - Confirmed TV was still not working. Ordered same parts again BUT also ordered new remote! I had to wait 2 weeks to get another apt and he came back to install. TV worked that day, then did the same thing again later the next day.
At this point I requested a manager call me. This TV is clearly a lemon. Although under the factory warranty, BestBuy can only replace parts. Over and over and over…..until the warranty runs out. TOSHIBA WILL NOT AUTHORIZE A REPLACEMENT OF THIS TV ALTHOUGH IT IS A LEMON. Now, I am still without a TV and out of my $200! SMH. Only if YOU BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY will BestBuy replace the TV. This is THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I have every had with an electronic device. For a company to not stand behind there product after purchase is unethical. I will never purchase this brand again! I also must say that BestBuy is the service contractor to repair this TV and it is clear they do not know how. They just order parts and charge Toshiba over and over to cover their Technician fees but that does nothing for the customer.read more
Toshiba Air Conditioners -- Best You Can Buy

Last year I bought a Toshiba RAC-PD1011CRU 10,000 Cooling Capacity (BTU) Portable Air Conditioner at a great price.It is chilling my living room again this year. This AC rolls from room to room easily and it is not evaporative. So, I don't need to fill it with water all of the time as I would with many portable ACs. It has many settings and even comes with a remote control. It is also a dehumidifier. It's two in one!
I thought that I would just roll it around to different rooms but I decided to buy a window AC for my bedroom this year. So, I bought a Toshiba RAC-WK0512CMRU window AC. It, too, blasted out cold air within only a minute of turning it on.
I like the Toshiba designs. That is one thing that I look for when buying anything. Some companies have not changed their designs in decades. I'm sorry but they are outdated and ugly. Also, I trust Toshiba. They are a reputable company. I don't know some of the other companies that I saw and I wouldn't buy anything made by a company that I don't know to be reputable.
I didn't want to spend a lot, either, as I would have done with most of the major name brand companies. Toshiba does have the best prices for whatever BTUs you want. I always check for the best product at the best price from a reputable company. I like being a smart shopper.
Besides these things, Toshiba ACs come with everything you need for installation. You don't need to try to find the right installation kit.
So, I completely endorse Toshiba air conditioners.
In fact, the only problem I had was that the window unit was quite heavy. My daughter told me so when she installed it. She told me that her ACs were lighter. I don't know which brand she has. I researched to find out that the lighter an AC is, the less area it can cool. The weight is due to the amount of copper used in the AC unit. The more, the better.
So, while you are considering air conditioning units, definitely keep Toshiba in mind.
