Incompassionate. Showed no sympathy what so ever for my financial situation during the corona pandemic.In the eyes of TK you're just a bag of money that must be collected. A health insurance provider that does not care about your health. Disgusted that such companies like this exist. Stay far away.

Folks, do not go for this insurance. One of the worst insurance company I have ever seen.Most of the colleagues who work there have no idea how to talk to foreigners. Even more, if your German is not so good, do not call them, they will insult you very badly.

Happily covered for everyday matters for 15 years

It is only as I write a negative review of a different insurance provider that I've had for over 10years that I realise how happy I've been with TK as my health insurance provider. Customer support even with my poor spoken German has always been great. I've had things from personal GP visits, MRI scans on a slipped disk, to Osteopath consultations for my kids have been covered. Even without dental coverage I've had damage to my front teeth taken care of by T.K for free. I think that the biggest testimony to how happy I am is that I trust T.K with my children's health coverage.

Same as what one of the previous posters here wrote. I pay the highest fee, live alone, am doing a lot of sports,non smoker, healthy but if I once have an injury and am trying everything to get back to 100 Perce t (in my case a special elbow bandage was required that literally saved me from getting surgery after an accident) it is an absolute nightmare to get it refunded. I now canceled my insurance there and got a letter saying they take back their funding for the bandage (which was approved almost half a year ago) and that I now need to cover the costs myself (280 euros) Having lived in Denmark I can only say that germany's insurance system is terrible. But regarding support and insurance policies, the Techniker is certainly the one I'd recommend the least.

I pay the highest TK fee (way higher than my rent. And I live alone) and nothing is included,only Hausartzbesuch. I am never sick but when I need a prescription they won´t refund it to me. Not even a simple blood analysis whatsoever arguing that I am not sick. Well, if you don´t check it up you won´t find it out either… I wanted to change the health insurance company and to convince me not to they offered me to refund some money in December (“Prämie”) as I am a Fitnessstudio user. I submitted the documents saying I attend fitness classes but they would not accept them. The same happened with going to the doctor “too much”: you loose this little refund at the end of the year if you visited your Hausartz what “they consider” more than necessary. Be on a sick leave once and you lose it too. It´s disgusting how people are treated there. It´s all about money and they can´t care less about your well-being and satisfaction. DO NOT GO THERE.

Very disappointed. TK reflects a crack in the capitalistic system. Money vampires that care less about the clients,money is all they are for. In this pandemic time TK was very stressing, they will push you to the wall with I hear the Germany rules section so & so and will want to hold you Hostage even when you want to leave them in addition to increasing your fee comes constantly vague charges because a payment arrived on their account some hours later than 15th. I don't recommend TK for foreign students above 30years, very expensive and not worth it.

I was so disappointed with TK health insurance in Germany that decided to write review.My personal experience with them was is that I am dealing with absolutely incompetent, not customer centred but money interested organisation. I was actually shocked that in the heart of EU we have such organisation. If you don't speak Germany you are in trouble . They also trap you in system and justifying German law to convince you that no way you can leave them. Their policy is quite vague and the cover is basic through the cost is very high.
