The Bookseller has been the business magazine of the book trade since 1858. The magazine is the incisive and independent source of business intelligence and analysis for the book trade. We produce the Official Chart, preview key forthcoming books and interview top authors - including the then-unknown J K Rowling in 1997. Online, thebookseller.com is the book trade's most visited UK site with over 250,000 unique monthly users. On Twitter, @thebookseller has more than 170,000 followers. Our jobsinbooks site is where those in the trade, or wanting to enter it, look for their next role. In November 2018, we launch Books in the Media - a curated aggregation of book reviews. The British Book Awards - or 'Nibbies'​ - are the main arbiter of book trade success and a celebration of the UK's leading creative industry - such as Publisher and Independent Bookshop of the Year. Winning a British Book Award is the ultimate accolade in the publishing and bookselling business. The Books of the Year programme rewards the combination of commercial and literary success. In 2018 Gail Honeymanwon for Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine. FutureBook is Europe's largest, most significant, conference for innovation in the book trade. The FutureBook Awards reward and recognise the very best work and people operating in the digital part of the book trade. Our Marketing & Publicity conference is the only dedicated conference for new challenges in publishing, such as customer insight and B2C marketing. The Children's Conference, is a key annual date for those in the vibrant children's publishing sector, covering both physical books and the new opportunities for exploiting intellectual property in apps, TV and licensing. Launched in 2015, The Bookseller's YA Book Prize rewards the best YA fiction books for Teenagers and Young Adults published from authors in the UK and Ireland, from dystopian and sci-fi literature to comedy, horror or drama. The 2018 winner was Will Hill's After the Fire.
