I bought a TCL/ Roku television at the beginning of January and I wish I never bought it.I just got done turning it on after having to unplug it and restart it because it likes to shut off whenever it wants. I will never buy another television from this company as I had another one from them and I had problems with that and should have known better.

Junk | 50C715K TV

Reviewed on 2021-03-18T10:28:49

I brought a brand new 50" QLED 4K 50C715K TV, and it's been nothing but I nightmare from day one.The items has three sizes, with the other two sizes having adjustable legs, who knew that the size I bought wouldn't come with the adjustable legs? Costco, where I bought the TV didn't, at no where on the listing for the item did they mention my size TV, and only my size, didn't come with the adjustable legs. As a result, my existing TV stand was too small and I was forced to order a custom size TV stand to fit the TV, which cost as much as the TV did. Until I could afford the TV stand I couldn't use the TV, as I had no where to put it. Then the TV didn't recognise any of my existing HDMI cables, because for some reason the TV only recognises HDMI 2.0 and above, at no point did they state that on the listing either, and the support team at TCL didn't know that either. So another unforseen cost thanks to this TV. Once I was able to start using the TV I found that it would randomly stop recognising all the HDMI inputs at the same time. Turning the TV on and off again didn't fix it, you literally had to pull the plug out to get it to work. I spent weeks complaining about this issue and had to manually install an update that was meant to fix it. In next to know time there was another issue, the sound kept disappearing for no reason. Turning the TV off and in again didn't fix this issues either, you had to physically pull the plug out to fix the issue, again. I then had to manually install another update. However, this time they told me it would be the last time I need to manually install an update. That was a lie. This time the TV keeps randomly increasing it's brightness and decreasing quality, largly for no reason but also as a really slow delay to changes going on on the screen. I went through the setting and told it to search for an update, the TV told me that the TV was up-to-date. That was also a lie. I had to, again, manually install an update, accept the update didn't fix the problem. So to some up, the moveable legs don't exist in the 50" model, the TV likely won't recognise you HDMI randomly when you first get it, you'll also randomly lose sound when you first get this TV, your TV will have a incredibly slow processing time for changing brightness on your screen and will randomly change brightness and dip image quality for no obvious reason, and you TV will be incapable of automatically downloading update or scanning for it's updates when you tell it to. This TV and it's manufacturer are a joke, avoid buying anything from this company, the software is slow, their hardware is crap, and their customer service don't really care. I've had 80+ emails about getting just these few issues resolved, and I've had as many issues as I've had months using this TV

Bought the new TCL pro phone

Reviewed on 2021-03-16T18:22:33

Bought the new TCL pro phone. It has been back twice to be looked at and it's only a few weeks old.It continues to kick me out of ever single application. I've changed permission and so on but it continues to happen. It looks good and has all the potential to be an excellent phone but if you can use simple functions the phone is worthless.

Came with missing 1 TV leg stand & they won't send me a new leg!! Horrifying service

Reviewed on 2021-02-06T03:46:14

If I could give them -100 stars I would. In all my experiences as a customer, I've never experienced anything this infuriating and ridiculous.I bought their TV in June for my new apartment, but because my new apartment had defects to be fixed and wasn't ready until December, I only had the TV delivered in October. I only moved into the apartment in December and that's when I opened the TV box. The TV was missing 1 leg and I thought this could be easily solved by contacting them. So by this time, my TV is lying on the floor, along with the TV box. They responded by asking many many many questions including asking me to send photos of my TV, the box front & back, all the accessories etc (Thank goodness I didn't throw away the TV box). All of these I have sent to them, including proof of delivery. Then they asked why I took so long to contact them about it, and I explained my situation. I even sent them my email correspondences with the builder dated December, regarding me asking them to fix all the defects before I move in. They also seemed puzzled that the delivery guys didn't check the contents in the box upon delivery. And then they asked for me to send a screenshot of the running time, to which I explained it's impossible for me to do so because the TV cannot stand, thus how can I set this TV up? This TV has not been turned on at all!!! They even called the retailer to ask for proof of delivery and asked them as well, is it common practice for the delivery guys not to check the contents of the box. I just cannot help but roll my eyes at the lengths they're taking just to investigate if their own customer is telling the truth or not!!! By this time, the whole process of corresponding with TCL took more than 1 month. They were painfully slow and unresponsive. When I called (my wait times took about 30 minutes until someone picked up), I had to relate all of my explanations to them all over again, which I've already explained in my prior emails. And after all this liaising for 1 month plus, they came back saying they're not able to send me the missing leg, because it's 2 weeks past the delivery date, and said that I'd have to buy the leg from them, plus delivery fees. I'm extremely furious, this whole experience is just excruciating, just for a mere TV leg!! This fault is solely due to this company's, and yet they're placing this blame on me. Firstly, I've never ever experienced receiving a brand new white appliance with missing components. This alone is already a red flag. In addition to that, their customer service is horrible & non existent! To be honest I don't even have the energy to post this review. My energy is so spent liasing with these guys. I feel like I'm being cheated off my money, and I'm being made to feel like I'm not trusted & wanting to cheat TCL for their TV leg. Come on, do I need to go through all this trouble just to cheat a company for a mere TV leg? It's absolutely ridiculous!! They're obviously willing to save the cost of this ONE TV leg and lose a customer's business & reputation.
