Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University was established in 2017 by the Gaya Prasad Jain Charitable Trust through the Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2017. It is India's first private university for startups, located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Aimed at transforming the conventional method of imparting education to students, Swarrnim University introduces the knowledge of entrepreneurship, startup, innovation, and self-employment into every discipline taught here. With dedicated schools for Engineering, Architecture, Design, Science, Management, Paramedical and other streams, Swarrnim University adds an extra layer of research and innovation to these disciplines.
The university does all this without the need for a change in the nomenclature of any of the programmes.
