Shocked about the way they dealt with my claim. I missed my flight back to the UK and as a consequence my train travel.After I provided all the evidence and after almost a year of going back an forth they just ignored me, a total scam. I would also avoid using trainline, where I heard about them in the first place. I thought if they were recommended by them they should be fine.
Please avoid, it is basically handing your money over to a thug.

Utterly dishonest – not for a second, they would not hesitate to deceive you whenever they can.And even if they cannot, they will give a good try! Over the phone extremely arrogant, cynical but brutal with an “intelligence level” I do not wish to comment at this phase of the procedure. They will ask you for information that YOU HAVE ALREADY MENTIONED IN YOUR CORRESPONANCE OR THEY HAVE IT IN THEIR SYSTEM. But ALL of them, literally ALL of them! 2 (TWO) YEARS LATER ON THEY “DO NOT KNOW HOW TO HELP YOU!” Well, The Court that I have took them to will help them to understand. And that is pretty much the only thing they understand: a legal procedure!
I am blocked abroad, with an emptied account in a critical situation during this COVID19, waiting for their refunds! Simply now, the Court will do the justice and they will pay for all damage. I only wish I read the other reviews before, I only wish…
Unfortunately, we are all obliged to have the travel insurance. However, do yourself a favor and chose ANOTHER ONE.

I am stunned by how inefficient ERV is. My friend's reimbursement has still not arrived one and a half months after the claim.Customer service is very vague and patronising, which gives each response from them a feeling of insincerity and "brush-off".
I do not think they focus on maintaining service quality as much as they do marketing. Be warned.

My experiences to date of using ERV travel insurance have been very poor. At the beginning of July I went mountain biking in the French Alps.As always I take out extreme sports cover and cover for my bike, this year from ERV. Given the activity I was undertaking (downhill mountain biking) I always check my gear before use, it would be madness to go for a week to the Alps and not do so. Similarly, on my return from the weeklong break, I throughly cleaned and checked my bike. To my horror there was a crack in the lower part of the suspension fork, rendering them unsafe to use. I decided to claim on my insurance given I had opted for £5k of accidental bike damage. Long story short, 7 weeks after submitting my claim, and after many phone calls and chaser emails I finally get a response saying that my claim won't be processed any further because I can't "supply independent evidence that the damage which is the subject of your claim occurred during the cover dates of the policy". Now I've asked the question of ERV and am awaiting a response, but I'd love to know what 'independent evidence' looks like in this case. I've shown my local bike shop, but as anyone with common sense would agree, they can't supply evidence of the date the damage occurred. Clearly to ERV my testimony is not sufficient (I.e. I must be lying), but I cannot think how it's ever possible to provide the evidence they require. This frustrates me so much. I work in the insurance industry, and it's this kind of behaviour (and poor service standards) from insurers which gives the whole industry a bad name. My advice is not to use if you ever expect your claim to be paid.

I took an insurance with this company related to a Condor flight.I had to cancel all my trip due to a car crash in what I got different wonds ,like broken costal bones,coccyx,brain commotion aso..
I immediately advise them by mail but never any answer exept an automatic reciep..I called Condor that told me they could nt do anything because they are the flight company and ERV the insurance So I had to call in Germany where nobody can speak or understand french but while I bought the ticket all was written in french???, but it s, ok I managed in german. So they told me they needed the prove of cancellation of my flight and the prove of paiement of the flight, I sent it and wait but never any answer. I called again I found an English speaking person that told me ERV will send me all the requieremnts they need. They never did! In fact I called for almost 200eur , finally I got totally upset and called again , found an English speaking person that sent me the documents. I sent again everything back: NO ANSWER!!!!!!!!! I called last week , there was a lady that told me 100% sure the company will call me back,friday or at least monday, do u think someone called??? NO ABSOLUTELY NOT.They got doctor certificate, cancellations form aso aso.. and never anything has happend , this is now 1 month this story started and I took the insurance in case because I usually never have to cancel anything.
So this is what I call : CHEATING
