Welcome to QuantPie!
We are here to help students and professionals, who have introductory knowledge of quantitative finance, to develop more advanced knowledge and skills that one needs in order to follow advanced literature, and to build/appreciate models used in trading, pricing, and risk management.
The transition from introductory to advanced is the most rewarding, but is one of the hardest steps in the development of a quant, mainly because of the lack of focus on professional development and the organisations' focus on the current pain points. As a result, the learning from university life does not develop into understanding, which is against the nature, but that's the world we live in. Few lucky ones avoid the trap, and they can then do things faster, which gives them more free time to explore, and their effectiveness and efficiency grow with time, thanks to the magic of compounding.
We aim to help students and professionals transition into the ‘analysis' world. We will achieve this through a combination of reading material, interactive tools, and video tutorials. Things are going to look harder in the beginning, but as you progress through the material, things should start getting easier. Or if you still have difficulties, we promise that the difficulties would be of higher complexity!
And a bit of warning and advice: We develop concepts at fast pace, so you might have to pause to look up some concepts to refresh memory. As the presentations are short and to the point, patience and attention is important.
