I ported out my number on March 6 and contact my service provider which they stated everything was approved.Number barn said 3-10 business days for port out completion. I have yet to have my number to port out. I emailed customer service and no one will respond. I bought serval meaningful numbers from them in the hope to open my business and now fear I may have trouble and wasted money. I hope someone will help me get this resolved. I didn't have any problem with my first number port, not sure why this is taking so long... I didn't get any rejection just my phone company saying they are waiting on number barn to give them the number.

Update to my previous review:
At first I was worried it might be scam or not as advertised.
After contacting support,they helped me in getting my order thru.
Part of the reason there was a delay in the order process was my fault, so my advice. Make sure you use a credit card that has the same billing address as your primary address you use for registering on the site.
Overall, after the initial delays, I'm happy now. I got the number I wanted, awaiting port to my cell provider.
I order on 2021-Feb-26 ~5pm
The initial order got declined/removed by the fraud protection, presumably because my credit not having the same billing address as the one that is my primary address.
on 2021-Feb-26 ~6pm I opened the support ticket which was handled by multiple support reps.
Finally when a rep named Jeremy stepped it, he was able to take care of the issue and proceeded with my order. On 2021-03-01 ~11am my order was completed and the services are as promised!

To be honest I was hesitant to place my order with numberbarn due to those negative reviews.But the porting process went almost butter smooth! Had a little hiccup when they didn't charge my credit card when I send my port request at first so it was rejected. But after my credit card was charged the appropriate amount, I called my carrier this morning to open a new port request specifying that this is a landline/wireline and after giving them some additional info (the name of the of company/website) my number was ported within 30 mins - to my very surprise. cause I thought it might take a week on average based on other reviews. I guess it really depends on your particular case. But from my experience, I would definitely recommend numberbarn, never use that random number that's assigned to you again!

Dear Madam or Sir,
I have noticed that in 2019 I intended to use your service to port my phone number but as the email indicated the payment process has failed.I thought it meant that our transaction was not successful and therefore I wouldn’t get your service. However my bank statement tells me that you’ve been charging me 24usd annually since 2019, why is that?
With the very fact that I’ve been constantly charged, my number that should be parked has actually been owned and used by another stranger, which means you haven’t been providing the service that was supposed to be provided. I have no ideas why this happens and am looking for a good explanation and refund.

Every year I am going overseas for 5-6 months. Since I don't want to keep my phone number with my service provider who charges close to $30 a month on a "seasonal plan",I port out the number and park it with Number Barn for a little over $2/month until I return to the US at which time I port the number out of Number Barn and port it in again with my previous service provider. I have done this now for a couple of years and I am so happy I found this service. It saves me quite a bit of money; the procedure for porting in and out is very easy and they send emails keeping the customer informed about the status of the porting process. I highly recommend this company.

Numberbarn.com is such a helpful service. I recently moved a long distance and, though I'll keep my old nunber forever in Google Voice,I wanted a new number that will be familiar here, just for convenience. It's just nice to have the local area code, especially when doing business.
Anyway, with Number Barn I was able to pick those 10 digits with complete freedom and without any time pressure (if you've ever picked a new number at the carrier store you know that they don't want to even give you a choice, let alone look up options for you).
Porting out my new number to my new cell phone account was a piece of cake. It took like 3-4 days for it to fully go through because it's classified as a "land line" carrier, but that was a minor inconvenience compared with having a hard to remember number forever!
Your phone number is something you'll be typing in, speaking to people, and perhaps advertising - maybe for decades! Make it something memorable or special to you.
