Worst service. Rude customer agents, keep speaking over me over the phone. Keep talking when I'm talking,just plain rude.I was frustrated I had to terminate the call. Horrible people. He kept trying to make an issue over ref nos despite me providing the correct one specific to the case. Just argumentative. Horrible, 1 star is way too much to give these people.read more

Had to call Nat west 4 times about my online banking account which blocked me after I couldn’t update as got new iPhone!Every time I tried to log in, it gave me a code in a message & when I tried to retrieve it Nat West logged me out, so on the 3rd attempt it locked me out! I phoned about getting the code by post....(still awaiting) On the 3rd call they said they’d send again but didn’t tell me they’d send it via message, so hence the 20mins I could update it didn’t occur!!!!! I phoned again to complain that they never said they’d send via message & could they resend another, to be told they couldn’t! I was told I had to await it via post (still not got it) looked the next day &
low & behold there was another message with the code. I updated straight away as to date this was nearly 1 & half weeks without getting into my online account. Then as I updated it sent me another code, I thought oh here we go again, but it worked this time. I’m now into my account but still awaiting code by post that never arrives. I was told when I receive the letter gives us a call & they will do it for me!!!!! Still awaiting.... but at least I’m into my account now. Think your customer services really need a kick up the a**e! They say they can’t give you a code but then send via message after all the security passes. At least tell the customer this is what your doing.read more

I have had little issues up till now, I experienced a issue where my card has been added to someone’sApple Pay and it wasn’t me so I called NatWest and said about this issue where NatWest continued to doubt it was fraudulent activity even when I said I had no access to any device at the time I had the text and made the call as soon as I could to try get help and for them to revoke the Apple Pay just added. The lady on the phone lacked basic knowledge of the technology and the way it works as I myself know a lot about it but they still seemed to lack basic understanding and kept telling me that it was me and it was one of my devices, but if that were the case I wouldn’t be calling. The truth is they can’t tell if it is one of my devices because if doesn’t tell them it just says it’s been added to an device not any verification / confirmation it was indeed my device. So I asked them to revoke it or put me through to a security department and I was told there wasn’t a department for security which for a bank is appealing. They then tried to transfer me to a team who could help which was just confusing and then I was told by the automated system this call can’t be transferred and they will work on it and then ended the call. Just for a bank this is appalling service and lack of control of knowledge and securing my money should be their best interest especially to prevent fraud. I’m sure this goes against some sort of law somewhere or policy and I will make sure I take this High so the bank is held accountable as it just feels they don’t value their customers or security.
I feel NatWest are falling behind and is being brushed away in the dirt due to their inability to modernise and enhance their practices to be a more modern and sociable bank.read more

Extremely poor staff Stourbridge branch
Visited in the rain and was in queue for over 40 minutes
Sillymember of staff just wandering about the branch not attempting to assist any one.
Far from happy with this situation and have requested urgent meetings with senior staff.
Large poster in branch not even in correct English
Practice instead of verb Practise

Having been with them for 27 years I am now switching to a new bank. Just waiting for a new card and transfer all my money by the end of the month.The email they have sent me is appalling to say the least, as I had reported an item on my account where the items weren’t delivered, and they didnt believe me so I have lost out and am now going back to the retailer again, to see if they can refund me. That was the last straw with them. I use my own money to bank with them and they won’t give me back my own money. I only have given a score of 1 as I had toread more
NatWest can't do bookkeeping

A while back I complained about various defects in their bookkeeping e.g. giving a balance without a date; when dealing with uncleared cheques,they can only deal in integers. Their response was to say that the system is working as designed. Won't say why it's designed that way. Now in the hands of the financial ombudsman.read more
