At the very beginning, our philosophy was ‘small is beautiful'; we started out as a small business with a big passion for vibrant bohemian-inspired clothes, and beautiful fabrics hand-crafted by talented artisans from small communities across Asia. The first Monsoon store opened in London in 1973, selling original collections that featured clothes made with hand-loomed cotton and silk fabrics, organic vegetable dyes and artisan block-printing techniques. Over the years, our business has grown, but our passion remains the same. We have a detailed eye for true beauty, whether that's our intricate design details, colourful prints, fabrics, or embellishments. We design in-house, source globally and ethically, and are dedicated to delivering keepsake quality, because we love to make our customer's day just that little bit more special and out of the ordinary. We believe in the positive, empowering, life-changing power of trade rather than aid. We have always worked with craftspeople in villages and small communities to give them sustainable independence. We connect British contemporary designs with our network of craftspeople, and together they create beautiful, unique collections that celebrate our customer's individuality and sense of adventure.

I ordered three flower girl dresses last jan for our wedding that should of been in July 2020 but due to COVID we cancelled.Monsoon said I could return the dresses which I did but I’ve never had a refund. Despite a number of emails and tel calls chasing this up, they emailed me to say they are out of the office to the new year and therefore can not refund me until then. This was in March 2021!!

The clothes are lovely and excellent quality but I will not consider buying from them ever again,due to their atrocious customer service agents. The review say it all and they appear to be unconcerned. Surprising in these days of declining sales and numerous large businesses going under.

I would be give a minus star if there was such a rating. Awful experience with monsoon,had been given a faulty coat for my child and the whole refund process was a nightmare! Honestly never buy from them made me run around to the bank and phone lines being hold for long period of times. Honestly please buy elsewhere I mean your not even going to get a bargain as items maybe faulty no good quality, worth checking elsewhere

Whilst I love Monsoon clothes but after sales service is dreadful! They send me small brochures which clearly show my email address!!!I sent 1st email and response was would sort it. 2nd email...no response. Couple months later I cancelled all communications from them and today received yet another brochure through post showing my email address to all and sundry. Won’t be buying from them again. A company is only as good as it’s after care!! Get your act together Monsoon.

Awful customer service, returned 2 items and they refused to refund one of them due to marks and a hair on the jacket.The jacket had been tried on for a minute. Absolutely ridiculous and very disappointed as had spent a large amount of money with them and only returned a couple of items. Will never purchase from them again.

Beware of ordering sale items. I ordered a pair of sandals as a present and when they didn't arrivein the 3 to 5 day time frame quoted at the point of delivery I was told I had ordered the item via the concierge service! This is a service where the item is out of stock in their warehouse so they try to locate the item in their shops. They couldn't locate the item so no present for my mother. Order cancelled. Why enable customers to order when item isnt in stock and certainly NO mention of a concierge service on ordering.

lenzing™ ecovero™ shrinks - avoid!

I bought about £400 worth in the sales, mainly summer dresses. All lovely and pretty.Just worn the first one now the weather has improved and it shrunk, 2 dress sizes on the first 30oC gentle wash. I've not experienced this trouble since I was a kid shopping on a market stall a long time ago!!
Reading other customer reviews it seems the culprit it seems is lenzing™ ecovero™ material that they use for 70% of their clothes.
They say it's good for the environment but in reality, it's not. Making material, making clothes, shipping it all over the place and customers having to throw it away after one wear is NOT good for the environment and it's increasing landfill. They should at least pre-wash it before making clothes?!
I wrote to head office to tell them about this material. They told me to get in touch with customer services (which I had already done). I told head office that customer services ignore emails, which of course they did with mine. All went quiet - it's easier to ignore customer experiences than take on board their mistakes.
All I can say is for anyone to not buy anything made from their lenzing™ ecovero™ viscose material unless you just want to wear it once. I'm now stuck with a wardrobe of clothes I cannot wear and the whole experience has put me off shopping with them again.
