After dealing with MasterCard and it's…a big ZERO

Reviewed on 2021-05-18T07:36:53

After dealing with MasterCard and it's attitude to it's customers is shocking. They refuse to talk to one you must deal with a call centers some in Asia,England, America and you get the runaround. I was defrauded of a considerable amount of money through MasterCard. There were 13 fraud attempts on my account. The first for $150,000 the second for $140,000 each were denied by MasterCard but MasterCard approved of 7 further attempts and money was removed from my account and paid to the fraudsters. None of the transactions were made by me. My case was being handed by Mr Paul Zervos Fraud Investigator with MasterCard and I was given a massive runaround. In frustration I contacted the Australian Federal Police setting out my case and they recommend I contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority Ph. 1800 931 678 the AFCA was very helpful and assisted my in my claim against MasterCard. My advice to any one reading this avoid MasterCard they are as bad as the fraudsters. if you have a problem with a financial organisation ie a Bank don't hesitate to contact AFCA. they are good.

I purchased an Pre paid Australia Post…

Reviewed on 2021-04-29T05:31:10

I purchased an Pre paid Australia Post Master Card. Once my account was verified, I loaded $1395 USD (equated to approx $1900 AUD)onto it as I was purchasing an item from USA and the seller had the card details to receive their $1395 USD. They tried four times over two days to obtain the money BUT were refused on all attempts. I then spent 2 hours on my mobile trying to sort the problem out with the supposed help people in Manilla or wherever the help centre was. The phone kept dropping out and I would have to call again etc etc . In the end I decided I would just take my money back of the card and use my ANZ Bank to pay the people in US. To get you money back I was given two options 1. They would send me form to complete and I would get my money but it could take up to 10 weeks (Correct , 10 weeks) Alternatively, I could go to an ATM (that caters for M. Card) and withdraw the funds in cash. So I opted to do that HOWEVER they (MC ie) that they would have to convert the $1395 USD to AUD in my account so that I could withdraw fro ATM here in Oz. They told me my account would have $1637 AUD in it . So, I had actually lost $267AUD at this point. So after trying to withdraw from three different ATM's (all telling me my PIN number was incorrect - which it wasn't) I managed to extract $$1605 in hand. The fees for each ATM machine attempt cost me $4.00 each try. So the Mastercard Customer service/help centre is a total joke. Mastercard are simply Legal Scammers and me, my Business, my Kids and friends will never use the Mastercard System ever. I would suggest anyone reading this review be very wary of dealing with Mastercard because there is a good chance you will get screwed

Mastercards wrong decision

Reviewed on 2021-04-06T15:18:38

I booked a cruise in 2019 due to sail in September 2019 with Floating Festivals, Jane McDonald also chartered the cruise with them as she was appearing.I paid £300 deposit which was two payments of £150 on my Sainsbury’s credit card which is run by MasterCard rules. The cruise was moved due to Covid from 2019 to 2020. In August 2020 I was contacted by Floating Festival’s say they had gone into administration, I tried to contact them but no response I then contacted Sainsbury’s immediately, sing then I had emails going back & fourth, asking me to proof payment to FF. I again sent proof although my statement shows the 2 payments which both say FF. after all this time I rang again last week to be told I can’t get a refund, I received a letter telling the same then I received a phone call a fees days ago saying I claimed to late as the claims was counted from on the day a man call Chris rang me a couple of days ago. I told him I’d been claiming from 2020 & paid by CC for this protection, since then communication had stopped. I’m so upset as I know that the claim can’t be counted from last weeks phone call.

Awful customer service, not reliable card at all

Reviewed on 2021-04-01T10:08:28

I would not give any stars at all if there is such option here. Customer service is incompetent, unprofessional and robotic. Wasted almost 30 minutes of my time speaking to them and heard only 'automatic', memorized replies. Obviously got pissed off. I have prepaid card GlobalCaah from them that means i deposit my money, not borrow.. in half of the cases transactions are getting rejected while balance is always times bigger than transaction amount so I can't rely on this card at all and have to always carry alternative card or cash. Don't recommend mastercard at all, unless you want to get issues and headache dealing with them
