Had Lycos since 1998. TBH they've been useless from day 1. I delete 90 to 150 spam phishing emails a day.My setting are on high. I tested on low and it was no different to high setting.
Always problems. Unbelievable.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVER USING LYCOS.. USELESS. INNEFICIENT. INCOMPETENT.

I've had my domain register with them for 22yrs now. Two years ago, my desktop mail stopped getting my domain emails.All my other devices could send and receive email for this domain. Now I can't access my email on any device or web mail. Says my PW is wrong, which it's not. So I change it and that one won't work either. No way of talking to anyone either. I sent a ticket in but no response on alternate email account

I bought about 3 or 4 domains from Lycos through Angelfire with privacy protection. Last week April 16-17,2020 my domain barrysscientificbasedproducts showed up missing on the domain manager through lycos domain manager. I published my science and technological works on my site yes they were copyrighted through Canada and I placed my trademark Barrys Scientific Based Products on the site to insure I have the final say. I contacted their registrar Tucows and showed them my domain was good until 06/01/2020. My work had IT product Design motherboards, Network Topology, Cryptographic Models. My security had sitelock and a positive SSL through comodos. Tucows claims that Lycos is a domain reselller. The idea I am getting is that they sold my domain without my permission since I held the rights to my works. I would like to see Lycos domain manager no longer able to sell domains through tucows or any other organization. Domain selling without the authors right to compensation is blatant robbery and theft. They should pay me for my loss. I will probably not buy any more domains through angelfire, lycos and associates. I spent over two years working and developing the website and it is a real shame. my other website barryequalityfieldequation was being redirected to porn, domain for sale, sound woofers when I asked to transfer the domain and am in the process. I had a good relationship with the company but these issues have caused me to give them a poor grade of two.

I've been TRYING to work with Athena Advantage support and they are hopeless. I've been trying to gettheir support to move some software from an old server to a new server and they helping me and avoid my questions. Their support is the worst I have ever come across.

I paid the 3 year subscription before the end date but since then i have had up to 40 spam emails daily .I spend more time deleting spam emails than my genuine ones . I have opened several tickets to complain , at first they said the provider needs to learn the spam and it will soon stop , however it has not and the only thing that has stopped is the support response ! I have had free Lycos for well over 20 years and never had this spam issue . I'm regretting the 3 year subscription and will spend the remaining time transferring to a alternative email and phase this pitiful site out !
