I am impressed! Since I found the HousingAnywhere website and used it the first time,it became my only go-to website when it comes to accommodation. In the last 2 years, I had only one issue. It was a problem with my bank card. It took only one phone call with support to solve it. This is the only website in this niche I gladly recommend to my friends.

I would not recommend Housing Anywhere

I think there are many flaws with the platform with regards to the set-up but also verification of "offers".When I checked to book an accommodation, I saw fifteen (15) announcement for the same room. The owner, added 37 pictures of their house, with no indications whatsoever of which room you would rent nor what bathroom, kitchen and living room were associated with the room. I understand we are supposed to discuss with owners prior to accepting a booking, but maybe due to a lack of fluency in English or bad intentions the owner was very vague. In order to avoid such problems, I believe Housing Anywhere should check all announcements prior to them being posted. It is not normal that someone posted 15 announcement with pictures that were not indicative of the offer. My second issue is with the booking set-up. Housing anywhere deals with a great amount of student who are limited in their budget, so it is pretty surprising to be asked to pay a booking fee of 150 EUR and the first month of rent when you have not seen a contract. What am I paying for? What if the contract does not represent or include what was negotiated? In any case, if you don't want to sign the contract, you would need to go through extensive procedures in order to get your first month of rent back, but I'm not sure you would be able to get your reservation fee back. Altogether, I don't think Housing Anywhere is a convenient and decent alternative for renting a place to live.

Great lister. Unfortunately, there is no way to see previous reviews of the lister nor reviews of the accommodation.This feature would be very helpful for verifying the validity of the lister and the experience of the listing.
