Shipment fine but customer service lacking

They shipped my order in a timely manner, but are short on customer service. They ship by DHL,but because they do not collect the Canadian GST tax at time of sale, one has to pay it through DHL customs brokerage, which tacks on an additional $US 18 processing fee on a $5 assessed tax. Also, I never received a response to my request to associate my guest order to my account, something they themselves told me to do.

Poor business ethics; miserable customer service

I recently purchased an e-reader from the Good e-Reader store. My decision was partially made by their positive review of this e-reader,which did not acknowledge some of the reader's significant flaws. The fact that they also sell this device (and I assume, make a commission) while not being honest about its limitations is pretty unethical. However, this was compounded by the fact that they were not honest that this device was on backorder. It was not in stock at larger places like Amazon, and when I asked if my device was also on backorder, customer service was evasive; simply stating it would be sent "soon." When it arrived months late, and I was not happy with the device's performance, I asked for a refund. Their policy is no refunds once a box is opened (okay, I understood that), they did offer that I submit a "buyback" request for the device. I did that, thinking I would see if it was worth the buyback price. However, I never received an offer, and when I followed up multiple times about the buyback, they ignored my emails. I guess they didn't want to buy back an e-reader that they had promoted as great but knew was severely flawed. Sadly, while I prefer to shop with smaller companies, it would have been better if I waited and bought the e-reader on Amazon. Would not recommend shopping with Good e-Reader.

A very strange and largely unhappy experiece dealing with this company. At the beginning of March 2021 I ordered a Supernote A5X together with a leather case and Heart of Metal pen.At the time of ordering and paying for these items it showed that I might have to wait until late March but I accepted that as reasonable. A few days after making the order I received an email saying that delivery would be in early June, 3 months ahead rather than 3 weeks, I was disappointed but decided to take a Zen approach and accept what I probably couldn't change. About nine days after placing the order I received an email, apparently from the MD of GoodeReader asking me to make a choice between Ivory or Black but not saying what he was referring to. The same MD responded to my query very quickly saying that it was the pen he was referring to because they didn't currently have any other colours. I replied choosing black and saying that I supposed I would still have to wait for June for delivery and the instant response was, no not at all, we despatched it this morning! I was sceptical but 3 days later the A5X arrived! I am delighted with it, love it to bits and very pleased it arrived sooner than anticipated but the leather case and pen have still not been delivered, some 7 weeks later. I emailed the MD again but heard nothing. Since then I have been in a very long and slow exchange of Messenger messages with the company. They appear to fold their arms and say the computer shows it all as delivered. That patently is not the case, the outstanding two items cost 110 US dollars so not the end of the world but the company will not confirm where the items are or that they will send them again or that they will refund the money. Despite receiving the Supernote A5X sooner than anticipated and being wholly in love with it I still find this company absurdly frustrating to deal with. I will give them a very wide berth in future.

Very very happy with an e-reader I ordered with Good e-Reader store.. Everything works perfectly,the customer support was very nice, just the shipping took a bit longer as expected due to corona, but that is not an issue. I deffinitly recommend this store.

Doesn’t even afford the absolute minimum in customer service I had thought that by purchasing througha company with a relatively prominent online presence that I could expect at least the bare minimum in customer service. Ordered on April 22 2021, hear nothing, even up to this day. Created an account last week in the hopes of being able to track my order due to hearing nothing. I email them as directed on the website to associate the order with an account, still nothing. Emailed another follow up yesterday and today. It seems like all I’m doing is creating a paper trail to claw the money back via a fraudulent transaction report. The credit card company is obliged to get my money back, so i’m confident I’ll get it. However, I’m furious that a company cant even see fit to provide their customers even the most basic of communication. You’re better off using almost anyone except Good-Ereader to purchase your item.

Ordered a replacement Remarkable 2 pen - took ages, then got told was on backorder - not indicated when I bought it.Then long wait said was delivered - fake tracking number. Asked for a refund - ignored, then promised and not filled. I finally after chasing them for months got the bank to refund the credit card bill. Got an email abusing me from their director - very unprofessional. They have sent me two aggressive emails calling me a thief and fraud - despite providing them the proof it never came and my attempts to contact them. They then attempted to dispute my bank refunding the money - still never got them item Seen MANY people stating the same style of story as me - DONT TOUCH THESE GUYS!
