At Farewill, we're out to change the way the world deals with death, helping people to take control, personally and financially, of what matters to them after they're gone. We launched our first product - our will-writing service - in December 2016, and since then we've grown to be the largest will-writer in the UK. We launched our second product, Probate, in early 2019, and recently our third, Cremation. In the last 12 months (among other things), we've raised over £100M for charity, been on the front page of a national newspaper, averaged 4.9/5 on Trustpilot, grew the team from 25 to over 90, and formed major national partnerships with organisations across the charity, insurance, and mortgage industries. We're a creative, focused team who love what we do. We have backgrounds in design, technology, behavioural psychology, and management consultancy. We love to learn from each other and our customers, and grow together as a team. Been on my list to do for a few years....a pretty morbid thing to think about but a prudent process to undertake.I researched quite a few companies. I found my initial questions raised through the chat were dealt with very quickly and were comprehensive/helpful.
The process of drafting your will is so simple. I really like the website interface and how easy it is to complete each section. There are prompts and further information if you don’t understand the question.
Once completed and submitted, a member of the farewell team reviewed my will and got back to me within a few days with one comment.
The first year, includes unlimited changes. Afterwards it’s £10 a year to make variations which you can opt out for. If you are unlikely to do this then I suggest cancelling but bare in mind if you need to change it, then you are charged the full price again.
What drove me to Farewill was how easy it was to create a will, the pricing was fair (not the cheapest but you get what you pay for) their team are made up of qualified Solicitors, whilst the firm aren’t members of the law society, certain individuals are so they are bound to professional ethical standards.
A pleasant experience overall.
