Horrible Customer Service

This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Filed an in network adequacy request for pelvic floor PT,because none is offered in my area. The PT office and I called for a month and was told lie after lie. Some times they couldn't find the claim, other times they said 1 more day, 5 more days. Only to be told 30 days later claim was closed because the PT was in network, when they aren't. Because it was in process I scheduled an appointment with PT. Now because they closed that In Network request and started a new one, because that info was wrong by their hand, they will not include that visit if in Network adequacy is approved, which I'm doubting they'll approve. My dental cleaning was also denied because 5 years ago I had root planing done so it's coded perio-maintenance and they don't have my history, but won't let me submit my history. I have been flat lied too, they entered information in correctly but say it's my PT's fault, um...I think the PT knows their correct business name. Oh and I had surgery and they won't cover the pathologist, because it's out of network, yet the surgeon and hospital and everyone else was in network. NEVER HAVE CIGNA!!!!!

Worst than having no insurance... I got a treatment for a severe issue and even though it should be covered by my insurance plan,they refuse to accept my claim. They say it's not covered because it's not a "dental issue" - it is... Impossible to reach out to them via phone and even if you can contact them they are not sorting out the issues. You just pay the monthly fees to them but you are not getting your claims approved. What a waste of money... I'm highly disappointed and I'm not recommending this company to anyone. It's worse than having no insurance at all. I've also sent an email to them to LetUsHelpU_at_Cigna.com, but now I'm completely hopeless knowing their "business policy". I will ask all my colleagues and everyone I know to avoid Cigna at all costs!!! This is outrageous... Looking at these "nice reviews", I don't know why are they still operating....? I wonder what happened to other people posting their reviews? Maybe we can group together to be more powerful?

I cannot select zero stars but that is what this business is worth. Their website is horrible.They ask you to upload an attachment for a claim and then there is no way to track what was uploaded, what was the amount claimed and how much was paid/deducted. They forget to send emails when they need additional information. You have to keep calling them for claims and they would keep suggesting that we will follow up and improve without any change. I had a very poor experience and would encourage you to not use cigna if possible. I am stuck because this is the only option provided by my employer but I am working with them to move away.

Don't Even Touch With A Barge Pole! You Pay Them and They Don't Pay For Your Treatment!!

I have been with business Cignal Global health insurance for 3 years now. Recently been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea (moderate to severe)and have now been declined a CPAP machine by their so-called Medical Team despite despite all documentation provided from my Dr and Hospital. The policy states it offers such treatment but for some odd reason now, they are telling me that they only cover for short term treatment and not long term. CPAP treatment is not likely to be for weeks to begin with but most likely for months, years or a lifetime for some people and they have not been able to answer what short term/long term constitutes. My policy costs 10's of thousands of pounds a year for me and my family, the policy cover is 5,000,000 euros and they are being difficult over £1200. My policy is coming to end in the coming days and believe this why they are refusing, however, I will not be renewing and will get my own. I will be taking this further with my council and will keep you all updated. This will be shared on all my social media platforms if not resolved. Furthermore, I know our Group HR director very well and I will ask them to review our business partnership with Cigna. If this Sleep Apnea is not treated it can lead to serious diseases. God forbid should anything happen to me, Cigna will be hearing from me. I refuse to accept such a poor service. I have spoken to colleagues in my industry in numerous global companies and have advised looking at AXA, BUPA, AVIVA, VITALITY AND WPA.

Horrible company. Horrible "customer" service. I can honestly say that this is one of the worst companies I have dealt with regarding a product I had purchased.When attempting to figure out issues with coverage/premiums, I was lied to and hung up on twice, on two separate occasions, so I know it was not an accident. My experience was so bad, I decided to pay a higher premium and change insurance providers after only two months of coverage. (To the Bot replying to all of these reviews saying that you care so much, if Cigna actually cared they would not have such consistently horrible reviews.)

Cigna sent a letter wanting a response to changes in my insurance cover. I rang the number asked and told what option I wanted.Waited several weeks no letter or email confirming changes. Sent several emails, no response bar the automated one. I then called and was promised they would call me back but they never did. I wonder how helpful they will be if the call is about paying out.

Worst Experience and medical insurance. I do not recommend

My C-section was planned in October 2020 and the hospital sent all the required documents to the insurance and cigna medical team asked for the report.Unfortunately due to emergency, I had to deliver my baby girl 2 weeks prior to the planned C-Section. Cigna was informed of the delivery and the so called medical team requested for the medical report. I contacted the hospital's Ultrasound department, the medical records team and the billing team who confirmed that the report was sent but Cigna denies having received it. After 3 months of follow up, they are covering only basic routine maternity bills, I am a GOLD member and they do not even see the limits for a C-Section. The medical team who reviews the bills should have been in the hospital during the C-Section to evaluate the reason why an emergency C-section was done, this only has to do with saving a baby's life. I have been calling the customer service several times and got confirmation on 23th Feb 2020 that Cigna has received the report on 7th Dec 2020 and when I called yesterday, the agent said, cigna didn't receive the medical report yet. My husband lost his job due to Covid in Mar 2020. I managed to pay the insurance all the bills and now I am being told that I will not be covered. I was out of the country for months due to Covid restrictions and only claimed routine pregnancy check ups in September even if I was a member for more than 3 years. I am very disappointed with Cigna. If you are an expatriate, never get Cigna as insurance because when you have to claim your bills, you will be said your child will not be covered as he or she is now a US citizen and will not be covered by Cigna. Cigna Team, where should I have given birth to the child if I live in US???? This is very RIDICULOUS. Don't cheat people and take people's money when you cannot provide a minimum service. The customer service is poor to such an extent that they do not even have follow ups and common sense in dealing with claims and people. Cigna team, you are dealing with people's money, please at least be human. The whole world is dealing with an unprecedented pandemic, at least do your part to people who were able to pay your bills. I left the US and the Cigna Insurance due to the pandemic and all my bills have to be taken care as per the policy guide. I would never recommend anyone to take Cigna as insurance. Once they get you money, they don't care about your bills.

DO NOT take out insurance with Cigna. I took out insurance for Switzerland to be covered for living and working there as a resident,to then later be informed that they would not cover me if I became a resident. This was sold wrong in the first place as I was reassured that I would be fully covered. I was told on my first day of work in Switzerland that I wouldnt be covered. I then replied to that email and no one ever replied to me even after 3 months of asking. The company is AWFUL to get in contact with and is a total waste of time as no one accepts any responsibility. I finally got in touch with the complaints department and it took weeks to get a confirmed refund and cancellation. Months later I am still fighting for my refunds. Cigna gave me 2 refunds and missed the third. They have not released the 3rd refund but instead of refunding, they have now charged me again for this service. PLEASE whatever you do, do not take out insurance with Cigna. I cannot stress how disappointed I am in this. It has taken me days worth of time to try and resolve this and I am not even there yet.
