I purchased a new Moto G9 sim free phone on Friday 21st May 2021 in store at the Kidderminster branch.I was asked to pick it up has late as possible on Monday the 24th May. I asked if the store could drop me a text or call to save me a wasted journey when it arrived "no problem".
I popped in at six, Curry's were open but not Carphone warehouse. So next day I rang I to check on my order. No one had been in touch as promised, I rang twice both calls dropped out automatically after a lot of music. Customer services said my phone was ready for collection.
In store was deserted with a few customers milling around, but no Carphone warehouse staff. I spoke to Jamie the Curry's Manager who explained both members of staff had called in sick and he wasn't able to get replacement staff, saying that they were having trouble with staff mental health problems. So I rang customer service again who were shocked at both members of staff being off. I explained I wished to cancel my order, but was told it had to be done in store. How with no one there, so it's now in dispute with my credit card company.
I would give you no stars for this appalling service and wasting my time. ANYONE READING THIS BELIEVE IT, THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED TO ME TODAY..

I honestly don't know where these bad reviews are coming from. I had a great experience with carphone warehouse got a great deal and the guy who I was chatting to was so friendly and helpful.Got my phone a few days later. Great service. Would definitely recommend. Thanks guys.

Ordered new contract I was sent a 2nd hand phone the company agreed to cover my line rental till theyhad available stock this didn’t happen so I footed the bill I received a call to say phone arrived went to collect no phone at store , shantay in s/Africa said they would cover my loss of earning for inconvenience Saturday the social media team was in touch “Michelle Holmes” was her name she offered a Monday delivery I asked could it be delivered on the weekend she then sent me a email stating my account is in deadlock as I declined her offer but my evidence clearly states could I change delivery day , now I’m in deadlock they are refusing to send me my phone refusing the £201 they owe me and to top it off I paid a upfront fee for a handset they want me to go to the ombudsman even though all evidence is in my favour I’ve even to store managers fighting my corner . So to round it off no phon3 and £300+ out of pocket which includes reimbursements and £99 upfront handset cost but Vodafone still want there money each month
Now I’ve to wait 6months plus awaiting ombudsman even though store manager agree I didn’t decline I requested a different delivery date all screenshots call recordings I have and now they blocked me off social media and customer services won’t speak to me
AVOID AT ALL COSTS PAY A LITTLE EXTRA AND GO DIRECT WITH THE NETWORK

carphone warehouse scamming, money grabbing, 'MIDDLE MAN' trash company... They could never scam me though,try keep me paying for a poor trashy insurance policy, but when you need to claim it they don't want to pay out!
Even though you are paying like an excess of £30 to claim a new phone in first place on top of your policy payment per month, they try tell you how many times you can claim over a period of years, almost a decade, and this is the best thing... sadly if you are a victim of a crime, theft... got a police crime number/ cad number off course, they will still make you pay the excess for the claim! Absolutely astonishing, animals, money grabbing trash, I mean their sales have gone long time ago down due to the cellnets themselves finally matching or beating these 'MIDDLE MEN' trash carphone warehouse company 'slightly cheaper prices but longer contracts' rubbish scamming deals.
They could never play me though, stop doing my contracts with them ages ago only used them for insurance, and soon as they showed an inch of poor customer service or money grabbing ways... I tapped out.
DO NOT TAKE ANY CONTRACTS WITH THESE THIRSTY, NO BUSINESS, POOR CUSTOMER
SERVICE, MONEY GRABBING, DESPERATE, 'MIDDLE MEN'.
I MEAN PHONES4U WERE BETTER THAN THEM, THEY WILL SOON GET SHUT DOWN, CANT WAIT.
BYE BYE CARPHONE WAREHOUSE, YOU CANT DO NOTHING FOR ME, MY CELLNET GOT IT ALL COVERED.
Forget these 'MIDDLE MEN' go directly to the cellnet for a phone, and they will offer you a cheaper deal, or more stuff to go directly with them. In regards to phone insurance go to your bank and get phone insurance which you may be paying for already but not using, or set up insurance from a top legit known gadget site, you can also buy phone insurance direct from your cellnet company.

I have been a customer for over 10 years. Upgraded my phone in March and I was sent a faulty handset.Returned with in 14 days via arreanged collection through DPD.
After 2 weeks no replacement phone. Every excuse given and told if iv not heard anything to call back in 48 hours. I have done this for the last 2 months. They refuse to cancel contact and to date stolen £120 from me as I am paying for a product and service that I am not receiving.
The wonderful customer service team have shouted down the phone and have asked me if I'm stupid!!
Though today I made yet another call and this time I have been accused of fraud!!!
Carphone warehouse have never received my phone and my dpd number isn't in their system and they are investigating me!!!
I asked to speak to a manager to be told No and then they hung up on me.
I have driven 45 minutes to my local store in pc world (all uk stores have now closed)
Carphone warehouse there needs to be some sort of legislation to be put in place to stop this company from continuing. Your call handlers in India have 0 customer care.
I will be taking legal action as so many others are doing.
I will be hounding watch dog, I will be contacting all the Facebook users who are dealing with similar situations where you think its acceptable to steal from and I urge anyone who has read this review DO NOT USE CARPHONE WAREHOUSE.
I may add in desperation I called Vodafone to see if they could offer any help, unfortunately my contract is with carphone warehouse bit I was informed that 40%of calls are now from people who have issues with CARPHONE WAREHOUSE.
Surely this is illegal????

Needed to let people know about the excellent customer care and service my mother and myself received from Kish at fossepark in pcworld,it was faultless, careing and patient, my mum being of the older generation was very nervous and uneasy about knowing what and how to get a new phone, we collected the chosen phone today 21/5/21, to be welcomed by Kish again who then transferred all data etc to save my mum and myself the stress, 5 star care, thanks so much Kish, oh and always good to see Olu to, always welcoming , thanks both, miss keenan

I purchased an iphone 12 pro on november 2020. I recieved it end of january 2021 and the very first day i realised there is a crack on my screen.I sent it back to them and they promised me a new phone within 3 to 5 working days. Its now 21.05.2021 i still dont have a phone and they are not willing to help me.
I spoke to customer relation manager called shane, he said there is nothing we can do.
Its an awful company and awful customer service. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

My dad, who is not well and nearly 70, went into the store at the Old Kent Road.
He was told because he doesn’t have a credit/debit card or an email address that he can’t make any purchase at the store.
The person made no suggestions nor tried to help him in any way to try and purchase a phone and sent him on his way.
There are still a lot of people out there that don’t use cards nor have the internet.
Your company is an absolute disgrace and your customer service is totally unacceptable.
I’ve worked in customer service all my life and would never dream of treating someone so poorly.
I will spread the word about your awful company and I personally will never do business with you.
Shame on you for not helping a venerable person in these strange times.
