Banning books is communist and supporting communist actions makes you guilty of treason against this country.You corporate failures do not seem to understand that the country in which you were founded matters, without it, you would not have your success, without it, you would not have the voice to spread lies and deceit for wrongs. Your hypocrisy is a sign of your ignorance and frankly shows your stupidity. Pull your heads from between the cheeks of terrorist (obama) and start supporting the country that made you your billions...failure to do such will result in huge loses for your greedy company.

As a normally happy customer of 15 years today’s experience in your Redding Ca store was definitely one that can change the way I continue to view this bookstore.On a normal Thursday morning twice a month my two daughters and I go to the bookstore to purchase more books and enjoy the store. My Daughters were viewing two books in the YA department deciding what to purchase, an employee approached them and told them rudely that sitting by the shelf was Not allowed . Even though in order to reach the lower shelf this position would be necessary. After apologizing and moving to a different location to look once again they were followed by this employee with glares and unprofessional handling of the matter.
On asking this employee I was told that it was CORPORATE POLICY that no sitting by books was allowed . When asked to see this O was told that’s just the policy. When it was pointed out that there was no other way to get to the lower bookshelves I was rudely told that “it’s policy”. I understand people have bad days and as I pointed out if that is the policy rudeness is never necessary but professional behavior as the adult in the situation would have been appreciated.
This employee was non apologetic, rude, and abrasive . As a teacher who frequently comes to this store for my children as well as others this matter was handled wrong.

I just registered for B&N membership and bought a bunch of mangas. Even though on the webpages it said they were available online,when I placed the order I found out on the first email receipt that I’ll be getting some on June/July/August all the way to December!
Don’t you do inventory??? You’re basically lying to your customers saying the product is available online just to found out it’s not anymore and one has to wait months to get it! Lesson learned, I should’ve just stuck to Amazon.
Another thing was the awful packing and the state of the package when delivered. The books weren’t wrapped up in plastic and oh my gosh, they almost don’t make it in good condition due to the all beaten up package. It looks like someone played soccer with it! Awful first experience! I don’t think I’ll be renewing my membership at all.

Barnes & Noble sell some DRM-free books (yay!). I avoid buying anything with DRM (books, music, games).Unfortunately, they don't have a way to search their store for them (e.g. a filter), even though it would be easy to implement (they already have a field in the records with that info). That makes it far harder for a customer to use their site.
I would have given them three stars but I asked them about it twice on social media (e.g. 8th April 2021) and they didn't bother to respond. It's always a warning sign when companies only use social media as a one-way platform.
