A no argument refund

A refreshingly positive experience with an airline- I received a full refund without any argument!
In Dec 2019 I booked a flight Chiang Mai-Bangkok for travel in Feb 2020.The arrival of Covid caused me to reflect and cancel my travel plans to Thailand and I re booked the internal Bangkok Air flight to Dec 2020. It was my hope that travel to Thailand would be possible by then (I live in the UK ).
Towards the end of 2020 it became obvious this was not going to be possible and I requested Bangkok Air to refund my fare; fully expecting a negative response.
I was proven wrong and I am delighted to say I received a full refund without any hassle !
In these incredibly difficult times I can only but praise the professionalism and integrity of Bangkok Air. Without a shred of doubt they will be my airline of choice when I next visit Thailand, fingers crossed 2021!!.
I have travelled with them in the past and on each occasion their service was top notch.
This experience has just added to my appreciation of them.

Great airline!
Amazing service! They will offer you free breakfast or lunch or dinner in the airport lounge before you board your flight,just as you have your boarding pass with them! It doesn't matter Economy or Business class!

As expat living in Samui I have to fly BKKAir at least twice a month. Nothing to compare to other domestic airlines in Thailand,with no doubt much much better, but damn, calm down the rates! You don’t offer business class’ services except a private lounge.

My friends and I had an exquisite experience, when flying with Bangkok airways. We had made a few mistakes,which meant that we could not board our flight to Vietnam, and was practically stuck in Bangkok for three days. We got help, from af staffmember named Cathy (I Think) in Bangkok Airways' headquarters in Bangkok airport. She was fantastic, and got us through our stressfull day, with only a small flightchanging fee for our four tickets. We thereby got away with much less financial loss, than we had expected.

My flights in Thailand were cancelled, probably due to the current pandemic. Bangkokair was easy to get in touch with via email and responded quickly.I was refunded in full, without having to wait months or being tricked into accepting a voucher. If and when I go to Thailand, I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.

We have 3 internal flights with Bangkok Airways in September/October 2020. We contacted Bangkok Airways to make sure they cancelled our flight which they confirmed.Bangkok Airways told us we were entities a refund. We booked these flights through Webjet. They have told us No. Could Bangkok Airways please send their updated policy to Webjet that states we are entitled to a refund. The tickets were not cheap. We thank Bangkok Airways for giving us this information but please pass this onto Webjet

Due to COVID-19 we are not able to fly to Thailand this June. Our internal flights with Bangkok Air are still running but the airline gave us a full refund as they understood the circumstances.This was a pleasant surprise and we felt like they really value their customers!
The only reason for not giving 5 stars is because we booked our return flight through a travel agent (GoToGate) and the agent is refusing to give us a refund, even though Bangkok Air have already refunded our outbound flight. However, I am hoping that Bangkok Air will be able to help with this.

Unbelievable bad service

I've booked tickets to my wife and myself from Myanmar to Bangkok - decided to pay more (compare to low-cost airlines that operate the same route)for better service and to avoid any hassle. As dates are public holidays - I've booked tickets in advance to ensure normal prices.
Month later Bangkok airways sending me a mail saying that they are changing flight to have it 6 hours earlier. So it's completely destroying my travel plan and putting overall travel schedule under risk (as we have to take now some early flight from other city or make up another solution). It never happened with even low-cost airlines - that's why I was so surprised. As it's popular dates now I need to book another tickets and pay twice of initial price (compare if I book normal company from the beginning and not buy Bangkok airways tickets).
Another point - right after I got notification about flight change I've sent back request for refund. After 1 week of silence and several additional mails from my side I've called to their call center (which I'm usually trying to avoid as it's great time waste in general) and requested refund. They confirmed that they got it and will send me a confirmation letter. 3 days after - still silence (update - they refunded).
Not sure what motivation can be to use this airlines (except places where no one else goes) - but for premium prices you are getting lower than low-cost service.
