My dog had surgery this pass Friday. She went all of Saturday without doing her necessities.This Sunday morning I called to have her seen by the vet. The Banfield associate at the location were she had surgery told me she could not be seen today. Instead she recommended I take her to
another Banfield hospital or to an emergency hospital.I then asked to speak to the vet just to get another associate telling me the same thing. I find this incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable. Not only could she not be seen, I could not even speak to the vet.

DO NOT EVER GO TO BANFIELD!! The contract does not end when your pet passes away. We will be payingover $500 this year for imaginary vet care for a dead dog.
Please go ANYWHERE else.

Banfield Does NOT Care About Anything BUT Their Pockets

This company is a complete sham and a fraud!
I called during covid after my grandmother and uncle passed away and told them that I could not afford the monthly payments.I called to ask if they would put my plan on hold or work with me, instead they let the charges continue to accumulate. Today I found out they fraudulently reported this to the credit bureaus.
I was never told upon initial sign-up that the plan could not be cancelled nor put on hold. I would have never signed up had I known this. Life happens and people have emergencies. A company with no opt-out clause is a company that should never be trusted.
Not only am I NOT paying for a service I did not even receive, the fact that they were never willing to work with me and then reported. I am DONE will this company and will be filing a claim against them.
Please save yourself the trouble and take your pet to a REAL vet.

Banfield is not the place you take your sick pets.

Banfield is not the place you take your pet if they are sick. They are a wellness center. If you have a sick pet,best find another place to go because it's nearly guaranteed that you will not get an appointment in time to matter.
Examples: My mom's cat was sick, next available was 10 days later. The cat would either be better or dead by then. She took him someplace else.
My cat needed end of life euthanasia. Next available was a week out. When I finally got the appointment ... at a different Banfield than my usual ... they had mixed up the details on my two animals. Poor record keeping on top of a difficult experience. Sigh.
Why does Banfield not set aside a certain % of its daily appointments for sick care? It's obvious that they do not. It's probably for the best because I doubt they would be much help to a sick animal.
They are ill-equipped to deal with the "hard cases." Example, my cat's teeth were so horrible they had exposed roots, infections, and needed extractions yet just 6 months earlier, they were supposedly cleaned and in good shape. At least, no information was passed along to me that more dental care was needed. I found out because I took her to another vet because Banfield seemed afraid of her and I was worried that she wouldn't get proper care.
I guess this is what you get when you take your pets to what is essentially a clinic populated with new vets and/or just graduated vet students who need the practice. Don't get me wrong, they are all really nice people but they are learning on your animal.
Virtually non-existent sick care and questionable wellness care. I'll never use them again, honestly. Take the time to find some place better. Both you and your pets deserve better veterinary care.

If I could give zero stars I would but it only allows for the minimum of one star.
My experience with Banfield is abysmal.The vet missed ear mites on a kitten I rescued which than meant I needed to treat my other 2 cats. They also missed worms which meant treatment again of the other two.
They put me on their wellness month plan which is a great business model for them but a terrible plan for the pets. Not everything is covered so they don’t check (or didn’t in my case) for things that wasn’t covered. I have been trying to cancel the plan since January (it’s now May) and cannot get them to respond. It’s a terrible company from the top down!

On Friday I had to put my Bassett down, and his Vet Dr. Hohn at Banfield Pet hospital went above and beyond to give amazing last moments with him.He has been my best friend for over a decade and Dr Hohn treated us both with respect and kindness. She is the best.
Today I was charged for his wellness plan and called in to cancel it. I was informed that it would cost more to cancel than to keep $50 a month through January of next year.
Banfield wellness plan is a joke. I paid over $1k out of pocket in the last two weeks with testing and his plan didn’t even cover the cost of his regular annual visit somehow. How disappointing to have paid all of my “co-cost” same day to then have them tell me I need to keep making payments for something he is not here to use. He had been on this plan for at least 5 to 7 years and going to Banfield since he was 12 weeks old. I paid almost an entire year for my other dog who didn’t use it once but I sure didn’t see a refund for that. I honestly don’t even want to use Banfield even though I love our Vet. Banfield wellness is a scam!!!
*UPDATE* So the Banfield Cares called me back and did nothing, even more upset after talking to that rude man. Banfield is the absolute worst I will not ever use them again!
