I was desperate due to itchy scalp. Thought Aveda. Sold me hair thinning shampoo, conditioner,1week leave in conditioner. Stupid me got the large due to “10% off”. Ridiculously expensive. Ineffective. Stuck with the expense. Don’t buy. It’s a scam!

This company just gets worse and worse, seemingly by the quarter. From their sad, outdated website design (complete with a dizzying number of pop-ups from the time you land on their homepage,throughout the site, and yes- even during order checkout), to the way they force customers to accept tiny product samples that they never asked for or wanted (which just pile up, unused, and create even more waste!), to the unqualified, unlicensed, sometimes unprofessional behaving stylists at their salons, to the apathetic "support" you'll receive from any of their employees, to their fake points program, this company is a solid model for how to lose loyal customers and scare away new ones. They are not environmentally conscienious as they claim to be either, unfortunately they rely on slave labor and lax pollution regulations in other countries, and none of the packaging is recyclable or reusable. They simply do not care about anything more than fattening the pockets of the lazy, entitled people at the top of the organization.

My hair is still falling out & thinning after using Aveda kit products. It smells good but does not live up to its name or promises!This company should not even exist in our modern society because there should not be any glycerin, along with such a long list of 'other' ingredients and chemicals etc...

I placed an order for a litre bottle of shampoo yesterday that cost £39.60. Straight away I noticed that I had been charged twice for the same product.Phoned aveda customer service to let them know immediately. I was told it wasn't yet available to view on their system to phone back. I have phoned back to speak to someone that doesn't know what on earth she's doing. I've got nowhere at all and couldn't speak to someone who actually could help. I'm nearly forty pounds down and no-one seems to have the authority to reimburse me. I will never buy from this company again. I have never had such bad service. They obviously don't care about their customers because after looking at their terrible reviews they would have done something about their web sight and payment problems. I was told today by their own customer service rep that they've had a huge problem with complaints regarding the same problem.

Stay away from AVEDA hair products

I spent a lot of money of AVEDA shampoo and conditioner after I dyed my hair in one of AVEDA salons.I had a horrible skin reaction after one month of using the products. My hair got damaged and dry, I got dandruff type flaking of my scalp (I never had dandruff in my life before), just horrible. Went to a dermatologist who said she had several patients with the same experience after switching to AVEDA products. I stopped using AVEDA products, and started using anti-dandruff shampoo intermittently with my earlier hair products, and it took over 3 months to get back to (almost) normal. STAY AWAY FROM AVEDA PRODUCTS!!!!!! The way how they push their products on you through their salons is unacceptable. Will never go there again.

I love Aveda products, and their website is pretty, but their online shopping experience is a freaking labryinth that you need a PhD to navigate.You'd think that a "grown up" company like Aveda would have fixed at least some of this, but they do not seem inclined to improve in the years I've been shopping with them. Two small examples of where their website sucks: 1) Too many product categories! It took me 30 min of concentrated searching to find hand cream - is it in skin care? is it in body care? oh, look, there's a totally separate category for hand and foot care! Why? Does a hand not have skin? Is it not part of my body? Ahhhh. 2) Login area is totally separate from checkout area. In order to get points credit for your order, you have to know to log in before you check out, but it is this hinky little piece of the checkout process that is not required and you are not reminded. Once you log in, you are navigated away from the checkout area to the rewards page, and have to navigate back. Makes NO sense.

In all honesty if I could give a less than one star I would. This company used to be good and care about its clients.Now they take your money and leave you with nothing. I ordered about $300 worth of product on Black Friday. My order got canceled the next day. when I called back they didn't want to give me the discount anymore because it was no longer Black Friday. Finally, they agreed but they didn't tell me that their items were back ordered. So I got half of a product line. Then another item finally delivered two months later and the final product they keep saying I have but I don't or that it's still back ordered with no promise of when it will come in. I have called customer service multiple times and been pleasant they have refused to give me a full refund. They have also refused to substitute the smaller bottles of the larger product item I am I'm missing.the only thing they will let me do is cancel the one back ordered item which doesn't help when I'm stuck with the rest of the product line. I'm sick of excuses and I'm sick of this company. I will never buy from this scam of a place again and I hope this review serves as a warning to anybody else.
